It really is. The weekend after the US Open used to be rest time, but all the big names played this weekend.

Bud Cauley, Trey Mullinax, Justin Thomas, and Michael Thompson are all playing this week at the Quicken Loans National in Potomac. Bud is playing pretty well. I'd like to see JT shake the US Open hangover. Mullinax is 124th in the FedEx Cup standings. He needs to play well down the stretch of the season to be safe for next year.
Dru Love was a Monday qualifier for the Web.com Tour's tournament this weekend in Nashville.
Don't see anything about Bobby Wyatt.
The Mackenzie Tour (Candadian PGA Tour) doesn't play for another week, although Robby Shelton leads the Tour's "Order of Merit." (The #1 player from the Mackenzie Tour earns fully exempt status on the Web.com Tour. 2-5 get conditional status and top 10 get exemption to final round of tour qualifying.

JT has to find consistency in reading the greens. Also has to stop letting his emotions get to him to avoid the let downs on the final day.

Mullinax (-6, T21) and Cauley (-3, T55) both made the cut at the John Deere Classic. Leader is at -13 heading to the weekend. Bobby Wyatt (+3) missed the cut.
Justin Thomas is taking the weekend off with the Open next week. None of the other Bama guys have qualified for the Open.
Mullinax, Wyatt, and Dru Love will all play in the Barbasol Championship at Grand National in Opelika next weekend while the Open is going on across the pond.

Mullinax and Cauley both had great rounds today, each shooting a 5-under 66. That catapults Trey (-11) into a tie for 8th place, and Bud (-8) into a T35.
Patrick Rogers leads at -16, so very unlikely either will have a chance to win the tournament, but both need solid finishes to cement their places on tour. The top 125 in the FedEx Cup standings at the end of the year retaing their Tour Card. Bud is in a good spot at 56 going into this weekend, but Trey is in a bit more of a perilous spot at 124. A top 10 would be great for him - a top five even better.

Bud had another 5-under 66 on Sunday and finished in T-12. Strong weekend for him. Trey only shot a 1-under 70 on a course that was giving it up, which dropped him to T-18. Still, a great weekend for both of those guys.
Those finishes will move Bud up to 53rd in the FedEx Cup standings and Trey up to 117th.

Quick update - Robby Shelton did retain 1st place in the Order of Merit rankings for the Canadian Tour despite a rough weekend. Best of luck to him the rest of the year as he tries to climb the professional golf ladder.

As of a couple weeks ago, Trey Mullinax, Bobby Wyatt, and Dru Love were all scheduled to be there.
Just checked. Robby Shelton is also going to be playing. Must've gotten an exemption. Nice.

Updating this thread. Hero World Challenge is on, and JT is paired with Woods ( 
). Both tied for 7th and 3 under.

By the way, since this thread has been lost in the football discussions, Trey Mullinax did finish tied for 20th at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open November 5th.
