I'm happy about the throws he completed. Good, he should. He also did every damn thing I'm criticizing him for. I guarantee they'll watch film and say the same thing. It's not sacrilege to say that Jalen is still making some of the same mistakes he made last year. Against a non blitzing, vanilla defense. I love you George. Roll damn Tide.

They're not just going to magically go away. Those mistakes disappear over time through experience.

we sucked at 3rd down conversions in the nattie. Those stats say we sucked today also.

We threw on a ton of 3rd and shorts today. We won't do that in the regular season.

That's an oversimplification. There are younger QBs who can make throws Jalen can't, so it's not just an experience issue.

68 passes on 123 total plays.
I seemed like there were more passes than even that.

True...but not every young QB is the same either. Some learn faster than others.

People ride Jalen so much and its all because we didn't win the National Championship smh..,be mad at the great defense. Kid got us the lead. Not to mention he shouldn't had even been playing last year with all the 5 star QBs we had on the roster.

Tua couldn't help him catch a ball that hits him right in the hands any more than Jalen.

true, but you would have thought a glorified scrimmage would have helped improve some of last years short comings. not being critical just an observation. Does anyone think our First OL is set?

Not like we are going to put a bunch 3rd down stuff on tape, plus one of our biggest weapons on 3rd down (Jalen's feet) was nonexistent today.

Once they started to dial up the blitzes you aren't beating this defense with a bunch of basic offense stuff.
