2016 Schedule

quote:

“One of the highlights of this year is that it’s the 20th anniversary of Alabama Softball and we’re looking to break a couple attendance records,” Murphy said. “We’re trying to average over 3,000 people a game, which has never been done in college softball. Our season ticket goal this year was to sell 600 brickyard season tickets and, at last count, we were at 581 so we’re very close. That would be a huge goal for us to meet if we can do that. If the weather stays nice, I think we can reach the 3,000 average so hopefully we’ll have great weather and see a lot of people out at Rhoads Stadium this year.”

Alabama begins its season this weekend at the UCF Knights Invitational in Orlando. After another road weekend in Atlanta, the Crimson Tide will host Troy in the home opener on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 5 p.m. CT. That weekend, Alabama will host the Easton Bama Bash, welcoming Arizona, Marshall and Tennessee to Rhoads Stadium.

Auburn ranked ahead of Bama in softball, what is the world coming too. Murphy must be slipping.

If we can get some consistency at the plate..we have the power..and a good #2 behind Osorio. also fielding will be strong. Several all-sec & AA type with Osorio, Runyon, Case, Hawkins, Lafael, McCleney, & Fain.

Alabama holds steady at #5 in the polls this week.

Auburn up to 3rd. They feasted on App State, Furman, Butler and Western Kentucky on opening weekend. They play UCF tomorrow morning (only team to beat Bama last weekend).

Alabama’s three pitchers combined to throw the 26th no-hitter in program history Tuesday night, defeating UAB 7-0.

quote:

Alabama (5-1) freshman Madi Moore (3-0) would earn the win in the circle, throwing 4.1 hitless innings while Sydney Littlejohn and Alexis Osorio combined with 2.2 hitless innings in relief. The Alabama offense backed up the stellar pitching effort with seven runs on seven hits, including the first career hit for freshman Merris Schroder. Kallie Case drove in two of the Tide’s seven runs while Sydney Booker scored twice.

Auburn beat UCF 2-0 yesterday. They stepped up their program when they hired Clint Myers. Alabama's run of success in softball is going to be much more difficult as long as he's there.
