This time of year all the other fans are wishing he'll leave. He will leave at some point but we will be better than when he got here!

He's retiring at Bama.

Understatement of the century. If he left tomorrow and Kirby had to assume the interim for the NC game Bama is galaxies better than they were before his arrival. I think he retires here as well but you never know. I just hope, that if he should decide to go elsewhere for whatever reason, the Bama fan base won't be as petty as a lot of the LSU fan base. They were just a big of a train wreck if not more so than Bama and some of them still won't let it go after all this time. I am old enough to remember the last years of the Bryant era and where Saban presently has Bama is very comparable to that.

Sounds like a man that is satisfied where he's at and what his program has accomplished. He and his family are happy, and at their age and with their wealth & good health, that's all that really matters.

He's done more for this University than any other in history, and that's saying a lot. Have you noticed the boost in academics since Saban's been here? It's not a coincidence.
I disagree. Frank Rose, George Denny, and Paul Bryant rank ahead of him.
