He may not have been the most talented quarterback we've had, but he is definitely my favorite. Loved it when he would decide to tuck and run, he was lethal with a little room.

Best deep ball of the Saban era. And he had the perfect receiver for that particular skill.

He certainly threw the prettiest ball of all our QBs since Saban took over.

That dude bled crimson. He's one if the best examples of the process.

He never talked about himself, and no matter how well he did he was always focusing on getting better. Great character, exciting skill set, and deep commitment to his team.

It'll be quite a challenge for any future QB to earn more respect from me than Blake Sims did.

I would have loved for 2-3 years of Blake Sims. Same with Coker. Not the most talented guys, but two guys who had heart, overcame their struggles early on, and played great down the stretch.

I wish we could have had him longer working with Kiffin......would have been incredible.

Kiffin actually recruited him while he was at Tennessee and Blake was about to change his commitment to Tennessee, but Kiffin bolted for USC so he stayed with us.

Kind of cool that he ended up being QB for Kiffin after all.

He is my favorite QB in my lifetime. I wished he would have gotten a ring as a starter.

It's funny because the QB after the MOFO ends up being the one with the ring and he, with all due respect, was painful to watch half the time.

I would say much less than half the time. Not mention when he was struggling he wasn't the only one. Ex:Defense vs AU and OSU. OL vs Ark and LSU. That team just wasn't as talented as past Bama teams.

Yeah, I am not a Coker fan. I will not bash him here because people like him.

Why are not a fan? What's not to like?

I'm just not a fan of his play, nothing personal.

Slow release made it nearly impossible to throw a bubble screen against good Ds. Also, caused a lot of sacks.

Inability to call a play at the line sometimes. Caused us many DoG penalties and inopportune timeouts.

Why do they show screen passes in highlight films of QBs?

It's why I put no stock in QB stats.

So you just focus on what he doesn't do well? He improved on all of that throughout the season. For every sack he took, he made a positive gain, or an incredible throw on the run while escaping pressure.

I guess I just don't understand your school of thought, that is, concentrating on every negative aspect in order to form your opinion. His play consisted of toughness, and grinding it out until he was successful. I don't understand how someone could hate on that.
