Assuming Ferguson signs (and it's still looking like he will) and we also get Armond Davis and Braxton Key, who will most likely be our starting 5 for the 2016-17 season? I'm sure all three of these guys will take starting spots next year or at least play alot

PG - Ingram
SG - Ferguson
SF - King
PF - Hale
C - Hall (at least that's what I'm hoping)
Our wings are going to be LOADED. I think Armond Davis is going to surprise some people, and while Key isn't likely an immediate pro prospect, he's built like a perfect role player. Add a hopefully consistent Norris to that group and our wings will be one of the best in the league.

I was able to watch Key play in a game this year and he was really impressive. I think he scored 20 in the game I watched.

The only one I would switch would be Taylor for Hall. Then for subs you'd have Coleman for Ingram, Davis/Austin(if he stays) for Ferguson, Norris/Key for King, Norris/Key/Kessens for Hale, and Hall for Taylor. On paper, that's a really solid team.

Can't forget that Avery's son next year is eligible. Taylor will get the nod over Hall, but I love what Hall brings to the table and has shown so far.

any thoughts on attrition?

Taylor has the advantage because he's started for so long and he's a senior, but we would be so much better with Hall on the floor more. He's a better shot blocker, rebounder, and a fantastic lob option. Once he gets some muscle on him, there won't be any reason not to start him over Taylor.

Got a feeling Hale may transfer at the end of the year. His body language is so awful at times and takes way too many 3s.

I'm just speculating, but it wouldn't shock me.

I agree that Hall would be the better option, but he's not getting much playing time now with Taylor more often struggling than not so I'm not sure he'll do enough over the summer to warrant starting.

So you think he'll transfer because he gets to shoot too much?
Unless he'll be graduating this spring, which I doubt he will, I don't see him transferring and sitting out a year. I think Kessens would be more likely option to do that since this is his 4th year and I would think he's graduating this term.

quote:I disagree. Hall's just a Fr. and will get considerably better, while Taylor's about all he's gonna be...besides, Taylor's mentality really hurts him....there's a real free throw shooting problem with both. Why Coach Johnson doesn't try to teach Taylor to shoot them Rick Barry style...underhanded...is beyond me. It's actually an easier shot to accomplish and could be taught in the off season.
