I'm seeing a lot of posts from several Bama message boards regarding people being Team Coker, Team Cornwell, Team Morris, or Team Barnett. I have never gotten that. Last year I was the same way. While I admit I thought it would have been an awesome story if Sims were able to nail down the starting job going into the 2014 season, I was more than willing to see Coker take the reins if he was the best available.

The same goes for this year. I am rooting for the best QB on the team to take over the position and win us a national championship.

So am I. I want the best QB out there. I just want Barnett to end up being the best.

Yeah I just want the best QB leading Bama and hopefully if they go down or struggle, then the next man up will be prepared.

If coker improved his release then we would be better going with the senior. If not then bring on Morris.

The nerve of some people to have an opinion they openly express, especially with something as truly insignificant as sports.

Yeah, and I'm expressing mine. Apparently you have a problem with contrarians, too. Thanks for being a hypocrite.

Very reasonable position. I understand why certain QBs elicit the responses they do, based on potential, physical build, etc. But to get so bought in that you're sold out for that guy does seem odd. I have absolutely been guilty of this in the past. And probably at some point in the future.

I think you're making too much out of team "insertyourqb". Most of that is in jest. The only legitimate debate here is do you go with a senior who is not seemingly better than the underclass men or do you go with the future to be better prepared.

Pretty sure we all want the best QB, but some of us like a particular style or look of QB so we would be EXTRA happy if the QB we like ended up being the one that was the best. I realize human thought patterns are difficult for some people though when their's consists of 1,2,c,potato

I'm in the same position, want the best man at Qb no matter his age/experience. Face it, none have any real significant sec game experience.

I just didn't get the hype for Coker coming in last year And still don't. Nothing he has shown indicates he is a above average Qb or that he has an attribute that really wows and shows he has the potential to be great. My preference is that a player with more than 1 year left wins the job, I don't want to be in the same position next year. I know it is just a current cycle we're in with the Qb position turnover but damn I hate having that as a constant off season question mark for the team. I know that this year is the only year that matters and the goal is to win them all this year, not to build for next year.

I hope we go with the QB that gives us the best chance to win THIS YEAR. If not you're letting down all the players that are here to win THIS YEAR.

Pretty sure what he was saying is if there is virtually no difference between two players, go with the younger guy because he has a chance to be back next year too. It helps you win BOTH years.

If there is a glimmer of doubt in Coker (which I think there is) then find the underclassman whether it be Barnett or Cornwell and deal with growing pains. The SEC is relentless so confidence and experience is critical as the year progresses. Sims as a senior struggled immensely at times even late in the season. Imagine what type of QB he'd be if he were back another full season. A QB's class doesn't matter in this conference.

The Team Morris bandwagon is the most mystifying. How can anyone get hyped about a guy who they have seen throw a whopping 36 pass attempts (all in A-Day games)? Is the idea of the backup punter leading an SEC offense something to get excited about?
