I think Clemson will use variations of the toss read a lot in the upcoming game. I think if we minimize the yards gain on these. We will be in a really good shape.

Some examples:

Example of us failing at defending:

Thoughts? These plays are more prevalent for all teams now a days. So, it isn't anything out of the ordinary. What other plays do you think will be critical in the game?

It was effective because at that time Harrison was not disciplined enough.
He was over reacting coming up hard to support every run play and also standing to tall in his stance.
He's disciplined himself a lot after the famous blow up on the sideline.
But i think Also the lost of Eddie created a situation were the entire secondary had
to stay more focus and communicative in coverage.

I think a key match up will be tony brown on Clemson slot wr and in nickle Harrison on there TE.
I would like to see if we choose to cover the TE with a lb'er or a safety.
Because we may want to keep Harrison as coverage over the top for help on Williams.
depending on what side Williams is on.

Their TE is damn good. One of the top 3 in the country with Oj and Jake Butt. He's going to cause problems.

Wow, Jalen should have pitched the ball on that second one.

Jalen has a tendency to make the wrong read.

I'm not sure, Leggett was solid last year, too. However, now they have Mike Williams back.

I also think that passing down the right side of the Bama defense 20+ yards is critical to shut down. We've done a piss poor job in that area, this year. Marlon unfortunately has gotten torched on those plays.

I think the biggest X-factor on defense is going to be Evans pass rushing Watson. Last year, it seemed like Evans was all over Watson when he was in the game.

Even when he didn't hit him, he was coming fast from outside of the frame (like he does now) and affecting Watson.

Looks like a toss there would have gone for more yards.

I like the matchup for bama. Tony Brown has played really well lately. Renfroe is good, and he torched us last year. But Brown is physically superior to Renfroe in just about every way. He should be able to frustrate Renfroe just by being bigger, stronger, faster.

fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me!!

I would be surprised if we aren't in position for almost every play this game!! We will shut them dowm almost the entire game!!!

Nah, it was a good read. The end stayed home on that play. That entire play hinges on the action of the DE, if he pinches in, you toss it, if he stays home, the QB keeps it. Chances are that the end would have beaten Jalen to the spot since he was unblocked (by design). the outside blocking looks good, but give the DE credit, he played that one perfectly. Can't argue with a 10+ yard gain and first down.

We definitely had them outflanked, but Jalen's read on the play is the DE. I don't think you could call that a misread.
