More convinced than ever that the playoffs should not expand.

When you get to this level, every game is a violent, brutal war. Teams have enough players already banged up from the season, then a conference championship. If we had won tonight, look at the players who would likely be out for Oregon, and then look at those who would be less than 100%. And then some people want to add another round? Even expanding to six would be ludicrous...imagine the advantage two teams getting to sit at home would have while the other four teams are beating each other to a pulp.

Agreed. Completely. Should not expand further. In fact the regular season should probably be shortened.

I hate the playoffs so far from a fan perspective. The tickets to this game were crazy high, plus all the expenses of the trip and then to take time off again in ten days and buy that ticket and pay for that trip is too much for a fan base to have to do. Who can afford all that time and money for a football game?

I can't disagree. And the BCS started what I think is a bad trend of playing the championship game on a Monday night well after the holidays are over. There are two groups of people that the powers running college football don't give a shite about...the players and the ticket buying public.

Add in that it is right around Christmas when most people take some time off and spend more than they should, and you have a country club sport where only the wealthy can attend games. How much would it cost for SECCG, playoff, and NCG tickets and travel expenditures?

Keeping it at four teams is good. I cant imagine us trying to face Oregon without a healthy LC or Ragland.

What is ridiculous to me is having the game kick off at 8pm on a Thursday night and not end until midnight. Something needs to be done to fix that because that is completely unnecessary. The Rose Bowl should've kicked off at 2.

Given the Rose Bowl is on the West coast, the Sugar bowl should have been the first game to kick off.
