Guy has been a beast this year

Has 21 total tackles, 4 pass breakups, 3 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and a blocked punt and fumble recovery for a TD.

No offense to Ridley but I can't believe he wasn't the SEC Freshmen of the Week.

I haven't really said it, because he is his own person, and the Honey Badger is a big name to live up to-but he reminds me of the Honey Badger.

Yea, they both played exceptionally well, but Minkah's blocked punt put everything else in motion. I love that both freshmen are stepping up, but both of them should have been acknowledged for that game Saturday.

He's a little bigger I think, but everything about his play, his look, all of it is Badger-like. He's a baller, plain and simple.

He's a three-year player. Probably will go in the Top 15 in the 2018 NFL Draft.

How many snaps did Ronnie get last week? Seems like he has "it" as well.

Hopefully we don't move him to Cyrus spot next year and tony brown can take it. I think his instincts and playmaking makes him dangerous bkitzing and in tthe slot

That is what I've been saying. Dude is in a real groove at the nickel, don't want to mess that up. Honestly though we may have a guy that can actually play all over the field in the secondary.

Minkah and Marlon start at Corner and Minkah slides in to Star, IMO. Hopefully Tony can take over the Money role. This is my hope for the DIME next season.

Right Corner - Humph
Left Corner - Sheff
Star - Minkah
Money - Tony
SS - Ronnie
FS - Eddie

Let's keep it in the fam and say he reminds of Javier Arenas.

al.com posted a pretty awesome article about him today.

I don't like giving them click-through traffic, but it's actually worth the read. LINK

Apparently his family was hit hard by Hurricane Irene in New Jersey. They didn't have flood insurance and their homeowners insurance wouldn't cover anything because they weren't in a flood plain. That was before his freshman year of high school. The article talks about his work ethic and everything. He seems like the kind of player who thrives in a Saban system.

I think Sheffield is redshirting. Honestly, thats another thing thats amazing about Minkah, dude was a summer enrollee and was pretty much starting by Week 1.

He and Ronnie have supplanted a solid veteran player in Mo Smith in a matter of months.
