Alabama will and forever be conservative by a HUGE margin and will vote red no matter what, which is sad because they don't even think for themselves or take the time to study those running for office. Alabama voters are worse than those who voted for Obama, because he was partly black.

He's right about the over saturation. LAX and John Wayne are a good example. Both are a few miles between each other and yet international airports. That comes with increased costs for immigration services and infrastructure in both, among other things.

Oh I know that Alabama isn't turning blue anytime soon, I'm just wondering if people are still excited about him as the were in 2016.

I do know that hardly any of my friends from Alabama tweet him anymore, and only four of my followers follow Trump, when over 30 of them did last December.

And these are true dyed-in-the-wool white republicans too. And Libertarians.

To be honest, Alabama politics is such a shite show, that Trump isn't even discussed very much.

I believe that.

Rednecks loved military spending. It keeps that small town in South Carolina running. Never mind that real conservatives like Coolidge, Howard Buffett and Robert Taft wouldve spat on them.

Still doesn't change the fact that politicians scream this sheeeet every year and nothing gets done. We are not Singapore, Lets be real here. We are lucky if the local city council keeps the roads paved as oppose to wasting money on that bright new sports arena. Need muh monorail.

I theorized that a libertarian could damage if they have the money. Democrats are a joke in that state, similar to Tennessee.

Mises Article on infrastructure, with former Reagan aide saying the same thing

are people starting to get turned off by Trump and friends, especially after last week?

Not a bit. Two of the Republicans in this Senate race fell all over themselves to see who could suck Trump's c**k better. Trump ended up endorsing Strange, which didn't help his numbers at all though, so maybe there has been. Doesn't seem like it though.

Or is it still #MAGA 'till death?

It'll always be this with the justification that however terrible he may be, he's still better than Clinton.

It's all about demand.. Airlines choose what destinations they fly. So not sure what you are getting at.

Meaning we have too many big airports. We don't need half as many as we have.

Why does someone NEED to fly direct from New Orleans to Louisiana? They can easily connect through D.C. or Atlanta to make that trip.

We are the only nation in the world with dozens of airports that can take you out of the country.

We need at max, 15 or so. It would cut down on the unnecessary money being spent to increase infrastructure on convenience instead of necessity.

Are you insinuating that Singapore is poor?

They are one of the most expensive countries in the world to live in.

Amazingly ignorant statement given the history of voting in Alabama. Dems controlled our state government for over 100 years, and that did not end until after the millennium. Democrats earned their Alabama exile.

I don't know anyone who is disappointed in the job Trump is doing. Most are tired of the media spreading lies about him.

It didn't matter in the primary because people made their minds up long before it happened. The poll numbers showing Strange and Moore well ahead of everyone else had been steady for a very long time.

The question is will it help draw some of the Brooks and Pittman voters back for the runoff. The people that voted Moore are the same ones that will vote for him in the runoff. Very few of those that voted for Pittman and Brooks will come over into his camp.

Strange needs to pull about half of those voters back in September to secure the primary (and thus the senate seat). Getting those people to warm to him was probably the bigger reason for the endorsement. If they'd been worried about the runoff he would have gotten Trump involved much sooner.

He's doing a pretty danged good job thus far. Everybody just plain ignored how China came out and openly told Kim if he shot missiles towards Guam he'd be on his own if we decided to kick his arse. NAFTA's being renegotiated, illegal immigration is way down, and Kelly and McMaster are homerun cabinet hires.

All in all I'm satisfied but I really, really wish he'd just STFU and do the job. He's not all that articulate and the MSM is going to parse and twist every word he says to cast him in the worst possible light (see the retracted transcript of the presser). To qoute an 80's movie most of y'all are too young to know about, "The only winning move is not to play." If he'll adopt that strategy he and the country will be a lot better off.

That's probably true. But that will increase costs for consumers though to get to those fewer airports and more time consuming. No one wants to spend half of their vacation on a plane, car, etc

Let's not act like the parties then are what they are now... And Dems at one point were more conservative. So ideology hasn't changed
