give me some good reasons not to be nervous about the auburn game. do we only need to stop their run to win? it's going to be carzy in that place, the sooner we get ahead, the better!

they are 1 dimensional and their defense is not that good. we will get more stop than they do. They will probably score, but it will be on special teams or on a big freak play to coates or something like that. we will make marshal pass

UT had 181 yds rushing in the 1st half, with no threat from a QB. UT is in the bottom half of the conference in rushing. Yeldon & Drake both hit 150 yds rushing imo.

Such an understatement... We're better than them at every position..Auburn is decent this year and that's it.

I think everyone knows how big this game is. Our seniors remember the 28-27 game, and you gotta think that Saban has something up his sleeve for them. I think Auburn is one year away from having a good defense. I think we will be able to run at will against them.

I think we make their CB QB look more like a CB for that game too...

There are none other than it being the biggest rivalry in football and both teams likely being in the top 5 at the time it is played. It is @ Auburn, so there is also that, and they'll be playing to ruin the Dynasty.

And this is something I was telling everyone sitting around me at halftime of the LSU game.

"This is a second half for the Dynasty. Anything short of a National Title and it ends."

Bama answered the call.

Well Auburn is going to be coming off of a bye week prepared to not just win the SEC West, but to end the Dynasty. Who else? You couldn't script it any better. Auburn, the most hated rival of the Crimson Tide, destroys the Dynasty.

That is the only thing we have to worry about.

Auburn runs the ball, and imo they do it better than anyone in the country.

We can stop their run. We'll make Marshall beat us. Don't expect us to sit back though, it is gonna be guns blazing attack the line like we did against LSU in the second half. We'll stuff the run and make him uncomfortable if he decides to pass. Sammie Coates has an insane average for a reason, but he also has shaky hands. Force them to beat us throwing.

Will they get some yardage, maybe even points, with their running game? It is too good to assume they won't, but they won't come near their season average, and nor should they expect to. Don't be surprised if they plan to air it out more, but even then Marshall, while he has come along as a passer, isn't going to do much throwing the ball against us unless he's playing his best game. If Jeremy Johnson had been the starter all year, I'd be more worried. That kid is legit.

They have, imo, the best DL in the SEC, and it is in the conversation nationally.

Other than that though, you're probably right. You probably have to give them one or two positions along the OL, and Prosch is more polished as a FB than Fowler, but other than that we have big time advantages.

They have the 9th rated rush defense in the SEC, not a hallmark of the best DL in the SEC.

I meant when it comes to putting pressure on QBs.

Their run D is arse. That said, their LBs miss a lot of tackles.

Not concerned with their one trick dog and pony show. I love how ESPN talking heads and rival fans continue to doubt this team, but this years team is the best balanced team under Saban yet and continues to get better. I think downplaying UA every week only makes the players more pissed off and we see the results of that on the field. If AU or Mizzou can keep within 30 I will be impressed, but I could easily see UA winning both games by 35+.

This will lose them the game and it may get ugly because of it too.

Not that alone loses them the game but dammit it doesn't help their cause.

Agreed, but I think Saban takes it as easy as he can on Pinkel, too good of friends.

If this year's Auburn team played in the 2009-11 SEC they would have an average, at best, record. Arkansas, Kentucky, and Tennessee are all suffering growing pains with new staffs. Gus walked into a team that was built for him. He's an improvement over Chizik, but that's it. They were throw out some gadget plays like 2009, but their defense doesn't have a prayer of stopping our offense unless they hijack the bus before the game and keep them from the stadium.

I was more concerned about the UT game at home than I am (currently) about the Auburn game on the road.
