Battle supports us doing it because he thinks it can be sung without saying F AU. Other administrators think there's no chance that'll happen. This rally was the solution that was settled on to show they're serious about us students only getting it back if we play nice.
F AU will be said when it's played in the stadium and the song will disappear again
ETA: This information is from a professor of mine who had lunch with Battle

I can tell you right now- there's going to be one point at each game that the student section will take it upon themselves to sing it WITH or WITHOUT them playing the song.

Glad to see the sga is still tackling the important issues at the UA

What should the student government be doing

I don't care if the ad-libbed lyrics lack class, the students are there to have fun. I know I'm in the minority though.

Battle is dumber that I thought if he thinks this will stay clean.

Realistically, lobbying for classes to be more spread out throughout the day rather than clustered. As it stands now, parking around 10am is impossible because everyone is in class.
One thing they do really well is give away money for travel expenses to research conferences. I was actually pretty shocked to find out that UA awards more travel grants for research than the rest of the SEC combined (Info came from an administrator at the annual GTA workshop). The SGA is a part of that. Every single person I know that has applied for for a travel award has gotten one with matching funds from their department.
Edit: I am confusing the Graduate Student Association with the SGA. They are a bit different.

That song blows dick and is my least favorite part of going to an Alabama game.

Save the "tradition" that's been around for all of a few years! Who cares? It ran its course. I never cared for it.

i like the song. and I like it when the stadium sings it.
was a warning ever issued? Or did they just take it away after they sang it during a very exciting win over Auburn.

It seemed like they were okay with it when "frick Auburn" only happened once in the chorus. Then, during the Auburn game, "frick Auburn" was chanted at the end of every line that didn't already have a canonical phrase.

That was just for the Iron Bowl.
