The dude is pretty good. I can't imagine hating the guy.

But I did, once.

I didn't like Saban much when he was at LSU.

In just 2 seasons, Kiffin has produced the best single season Passer, Receiver, and Rusher in Bama's history. Bama has been playing since 1892. Pretty amazing.

Hard to believe we won a NC with Nussmeier as OC.

Without a doubt.

Lane took Blake Sims and Jake Coker and gave us two of the most prolific and reliable Bama offenses we've ever had. Nothing against those two guys at all, just saying that Lane elevated their play and called the offense to their strengths. If he does stay next year he will be huge for Barnett's development.

I was just thinking the other day how lucky we are to have Lane Kiffin. Another thing that I realized, did anybody notice that with all the job openings around the country, Lane Kiffin's name hasnt been rumored to any of them...not even one. This could be a great thing for us if no one trusts him to be the head coach of their team

Only knocks is less scoring pet game than the last 2 guys, and no NCs yet, though that should be rectified Monday

To be fair to Mac, Nuss had way more to work with.

Actually 2012 was the most prolific offense we have had under Saban as far as PPG, followed by 2013.

2015-32.7 6th
2014-36.1 3rd
2013-37.2 2nd
2012-37.9 1st
2011-35.2 4th
2010-33.4 5th
2009-31.1 7th
2008-30.1 8th
2007-25.0 9th

Can't disagree.

Applewhite was in over his head, McElwain made the most of what he had, and Nussmeier developed the best passer under Saban(but put too much focus on him).

Kiffin has done the best at showcasing the playmakers, and developing a scheme that works for the QB.

Nick Saban is a correct button pushing machine. Six years ago who in the hell would have thought Lane Kiffin and Nick Saban would coach side by side. Love me some Kiffin. People complain about him getting cute but Every single offensive coordinator in the country gets a little cute during a game. He's been a home run.

I'm looking at 34.4 PPG for this year though, not 32.7

Hmm, I guess the website I used is wrong. I wonder if it is wrong for the other years too? Oh well

that would move 2015 from 6th to 5th, IF the website I used is correct on the other years, which I'm not so sure now.

2015: 34.4 PPG, 6th, Coker, Kiffin
2014: 36.9 PPG, 3rd, Sims, Kiffin
2013: 38.2 PPG, 2nd, AJ, Nussmeier
2012: 38.7 PPG, 1st, AJ, Nussmeier
2011: 34.8 PPG, 4th, AJ, McElwain
2010: 35.7 PPG, 5th, Greg, McElwain
2009: 32.1 PPG, 7th, Greg, McElwain

Nussmeier was the highest in PPG. I complained about him so much.

I still can't believe what Kiffin did with Blake Sims. Kiffin is a great coach when he isn't being a douche and forcing people to hate him.

No doubt. We lose multiple regular season games last year without him (probably beat Ohio St without him though ). He pretty much beat Auburn for us in 2014. Work he's done with Sims and Coker has been incredible.

Kiffin is one of the best matchup guys not just in college but in all of football.

As a pure QB whisperer, it's a tossup between Nuss and Mac, but Mac was far and away a better play caller, this is where Nuss really struggled and why Saban wanted to move on.

I did find it funny all the griping about Kiffin and teh jet sweeps. Watch the beginning of the 2011 Capitol One Bowl. Mac calls like 3 jet sweeps to Julio in the first quarter alone.
