how in the world can him posting a link to an article get you this upset?

I'm not upset. I'm not upset at all. I just grow tired of the Chicken Little mindset of "news" reporting. How the media reports it and how we the consumer grab it and run to a message board like it's the Kennedy assassination.

I'm certain this isn't possible. See my post above, I was trying to give you a bit of wisdom, so you wouldn't look so foolish with the Chicken Little news reporting.

Breaking news: Saban to be Texas' top choice.

I hear they'll likely "break the bank" to get him.

As stated in my post above, I'm unconcerned whether Kirby stays or leaves. My point was the emotional "Sky is falling" news reports we have around here. The same thing happens every year on here regarding coaching changes and none of the clowns that purport to be in authority have a clue.

Perhaps, you're simply too naïve or weak minded to discern that from the points I made. But, please tater, think what ever makes your little heart leap

What are you seven?

It's obvious I can't do anything to help you. Please, by all means continue to be one of the sheep.

Now that we have the local schoolmarm's lecture over and done with:

Is there any possibility of Bama money whipping Muschamp here? And how big of a melt would there be on the Plains?

I haven't read the whole thread, but imho, Kirby would be foolish to go to South Carolina. I actually would like him to go somewhere though just so we can see if he is any good at running a program. I'm still hung up on Dubose and do not feel comfortable handing the reigns to Kirby yet, when Saban is done of course.

Uh Rizzy, Do you realize that Feldman is recycling quotes from a month ago? It's called click bait. Noting has emerged that shows Kirby is the front runner other than Fox Sports trying to generate news and traffic. Do some research before posting - it took me about two minutes to trace the original quotes in the story.

Dude, stop being a sissy fussing about some old quotes, you sound like a old guy or young liberal waiting on a news report to complain about, it's just a discussion about a "possible" coaching change.

I have a great idea. Bama give pay raises to all staff and keep them around.

I would suggest getting over the whole Dubose thing. If there was ever an apples-to-oranges comparison, this is it. First of all, they aren't remotely the same in terms of character. Second, their experiences aren't at all similar. Dubose was never even a coordinator at any school, so he never had any experience running anything. Third, there is no comparison between the complexities of running the Alabama program now, which Smart has had a ringside seat to, with the Alabama program under Stallings. And Dubose was never even a coordinator in that system.

Kirby could go off to USCe and get his arse whipped by Dabo for a couple of years, just because of the dumpster fire Spurrier has left behind. I don't think that would necessarily serve to help prepare him for being the head coach at Alabama at all, nor would it in my mind exclude him from consideration. I don't think Kirby needs to go work some miracle somewhere else...which is what winning in the next 3 years at USCe would be...just to prove himself.

I really think kirby needs to wait and see what happens in the lsu/fsu scenario. If not consider Va-tech...As much as Miami is down..There recruiting grounds still could provided a very talented foundation ahead of pace of rebuilding USc/east.
Other than that continue a possible HCIW possibility at Bama. I think it becoming less and less an necessity that he leave just to get experience enough to be Bama's HC.This program is running like a solid corporation(machine).
