In real life, he's a pretty nice guy. My sister was his tour coordinator for one of his books back in the mid 90s.

I got to have dinner with Paul a few years back and he was nothing like his radio persona. A super nice and gracious guy. He is playing a character on the radio and tv and he is very good at it.

This is what I've always heard about him. I don't even think he's that mean on the radio, he's just a great facilitator for the madness that is college football.
