Just heard he hasn't been game planning since October, just calling plays.. Any of our guys "in the know" heard anything bout this.. Fwiw heard it from dude I went to school with that's a radio host. Says his dude told him grad assistants have been making the gameplans.

Literally I could go call plays and Bama would win 10 games.

This isn't surprising

Sure would explain the decline on offense towards the end of the season and the fallout between Saban n Kiffin

Does his "dude" understand that they actually have offensive staff meetings and that Saban himself is involved in planning?

Pretty sure he does. But back to my point, does anyone know if Kiffin was involved in those staff meetings? Just a question, why I asked the folks with "sources"

The only reports I saw were that came out were that he showed up late a couple of times. The OC doesn't just roll into a meeting and say "OK, here's the game plan". The stuff about the GAs just sounds like college kids shooting off their mouths. Kids make up shite all the time to impress people. Or maybe it was someone's "dude" just making stuff up.

So Saban hasn't been reviewing game plans with the offensive coordinator?

Yeah. No.

I never liked Kiffin. Not gonna lie through, had brief moments of thinking he might learn a thing or two, but pretty much held firm that he's a giant piece of shite.

I'm pretty sure he tried to throw a Tennessee game a couple years back.

I hope we win it all just despite Kiffin. Then I hope Saban steals his best recruit and grey shirts him.

That's pretty much what it is with a lot of Alabama fans. It's a personal thing. A lot of them never liked his attitude, his personal lifestyle, his swagger. Hard to argue, though, with his success at Alabama. Offensive records and titles attest to that.

Lol. Swagger. Hard to argue that he's not a baby cow pussy. Lifestyle. Of being a giant spoon fed titty baby?

Please don't defend Kiffin to me. Do it to someone who you might win over, because that dude got the boot because he was not doing a good enough job at Alabama and for being a herpes sore on the cock of Alabama football.

Setting offensive records isn't doing a good job?
Winning 3 SEC titles and being in the playoffs all 3 years of his 3 year tenure, including one title already, isn't doing a good job?

Just answer that, without other spin.

Are those things good, or not?

Considering there's a great chance we do those things anyways without him I'll say he did a good job of not fricking it up, until the wheels started rolling off at the end. Then, it was apparent he was NOT good enough to continue on.

You'll see when our offense continues to roll in the future. Until then I guess I just can't convince you that he's just not that big of a deal.

Actually, I was supporting the potential hiring of Sarkisian, said he'd do a good job, even when many on this board did not. Even when he supposedly got drunk in Atlanta and we were told he would not be hired, I still supported him and said I thought he could get past all that and would do a good job.

It's in the posting history.

That Sarkisian will probably do a good job, perhaps and hopefully a better job, though, doesn't negate that which Kiffin has done at UA.

It's just petty, imo, to trash a guy just because you don't like him, and then claim he didn't do a good job in spite of offensive records and numerous titles.

No. Not just any coach can win big just because "we're Alabama". I thought maybe we'd learned better than that. I know I did.

Ok, he did a good job. He set numerous records. Won three SEC championships possibly 2/3 national championships. But he did those things under probably the greatest college coach of all time, during his peak at his longest tenured school.

Are you Lane Kiffin?

You don't get Blame Sims' performance in 2014 without Lane Kiffin...Nick Saban not withstanding.

I'd go as far as to say Kiffin is the best OC Alabama has ever had.

And yeah, he's still immature and narcissistic, imo. But that doesn't negate the benefits he brought to the program.

I wish him well. But I doubt he will be successful at FAU...primarily because he likely doesn't have enough money to hire decent assistants.
