They think our secondary is small. They think they can sustain a running game and that Watson is going to shred our secondary. Nothing wrong with optimism but these guys think they are gonna kick the shite out of us. Just passing it along.

Do any of them play on Clemson's team?

I think Watson gets yardage with his legs, but I don't think they punch it in all that often. The defense will stiffen up and leave them to hitting field goals and one or two TDs.

If Alabama can score more than 24 points, I think Alabama wins.

As much as they use Watson, I'd be shocked if he feels niches the game. I don't think we will intentionally hurt him, but he is going to get hit.

I heard something about LSU being able to run on Alabama. And Arkansas. And Michigan St.

I sense a pattern.

Those designed QB runs are are going to be very ouchy for Watson. He shouldn't try too many of those.

Ever since that night in 2008 when Alabama hammered Clemson, I have waited. I have waited 7 long years to play them again. They started there run of dominance and used Clemson as the springboard to announce there arrival to the nation. This time around it's going to be different. This is a great match up for Clemson because we are what Alabama struggles against. I have waited and prayed for this match up because I want Clemson to prove it to the world that they're not invincible. The only way Clemson will ever get respect is to beat Alabama since they are perceived to be the standard in college football. Now we have our chance and I have no doubt the Tigers will show up ready to play. Alabama better strap it up because there will be nothing easy about this for them. Until somebody shows me they can beat this team and DeShaun Watson then I have full faith that Clemson is going to win our 2nd national championship.

Even if Clemson wins this game; They should be careful what they wish for.

They will move the ball similarly to how Mississippi state did. Won't score in the red zone. It will have to be on a bomb or Watson long run. Gallman ain't running on us

I just don't think Watson is nearly as durable as Dak. Dak is a tough SOB, but he wasn't getting up very quick in the second half. They better be careful with Watson, or we will have to hear the Colt McCoy excuse.

Watson is fast as shite. He will run more effectively than Dak. They will line up in 4 wides a lot with will make it difficult to get Watson in open space. They will also do a lot of passes on the outside out of the backfield and spread us out.

I know he is fast, I never said Dak was faster, I just don't think that he can take the same amount of hits that Dak took.

I understand their optimism. They want their team to win, same as us. But these folks are delusional. Same as Michigan state fans. Same as Notre Dame. Everyone thinks they have the right tools, right scheme, and enough heart to beat Alabama. That's not the case when the dust settles. Michigan state fans basically said exactly what the ND fans were saying, "Damn. I guess we just had no idea." I have a feeling that's what we will be reading from Clemson fans in 8 days.

Just homer fans. You can bet their players and coaches know that this will be the toughest football game they will have ever played.

Watson is a far more dangerous threat than Dak. There passing game along with his ability to run will keep our D working out there. So I hope we can pound the ball early with Henry and control the clock. Clemson reminds of FSU the year they won the title. They are capable of hitting the home run play anytime during the game and their D is very quick.

I think we win in the end but it will be our toughest NC game under Saban.

I just don't think that they will score a ton of points against our defense . Call me crazy , but the fact that they are so woefully one dimensional gives me pause .
Our defense is tough . Motivated and tough . Rested , motivated and tough . Henry is a horse , but we will see about him in the gameplan.
What do ya got besides that , Nicky ?
Our offense is clicking too . No mention of that . All the pundits want to talk about is how stout and hige Alabama's defense is .
Hmmph.

I agree - I do not see how they manufacture points. Keep it away from jones on special teams and dare Coker to beat us. Tiger db's way way different than Sparty.

Quotes like this simply show the posters ignorance. They think if they quote talking heads they'll come across as informed. While the this statement was true in previous seasons, it is not true this season.

but it is not. And I kept hearing about the career records he broke as substantiating why he should win; more eSECpn garbage. Bama gets a lot handed to them because of espn, and if you do not think so, then you are blind.

When Alabama beats them silly and then steals their coach in a few years, it will be because eSECpn garbage handed it to them.

Still without their WR that failed drug test, correct? And don't discount the injury to their DE that knocked him out of the game. He may play, but he will get tested with some cut blocks, and must stand up to tackling Henry. Be surprised if he makes it the whole game.
