Jonathan Taylor dismissed from the Alabama Program

Alabama defensive tackle Jonathan Taylor has been dismissed from the Crimson Tide football program, it was announced Sunday afternoon. Head coach Nick Saban released the following statement.
"Jonathan Taylor has been dismissed from the team and is no longer a part of our program," Saban said in an email release. "This will still need to go through the legal process, but when he was given an opportunity here, it was under strict guidelines and we made it clear there was a zero tolerance policy."
Taylor was arrested and charged with one count of domestic violence third degree assault and one count of domestic violence three degree criminal mischief Saturday evening, according to a Tuscaloosa Police Department media release.
Taylor, 21, enrolled at Alabama in January as an early enrollee from Copiah-Lincoln (Miss.) Community College after being dismissed from the University of Georgia. He was also arrested and charged with felony aggravated assault and family violence while at Georgia, although the charges against him are still pending.

Some of these kids are given a golden goose and they just can't help to kill it.

So much talent, all of it thrown away. Best of luck to the kid but he needs to get his due diligence.

I'm guessing he'll serve about 10-30 days if he is convicted. Not enough time to teach him a lesson.

I'm all for second chances but if you screw that up, you gotta go. Hopefully the kid can get his life in order.

In a situation like this, I'd usually say he's where he belongs, getting cornholed on jail. But I don't think many people wanna frick with a 6'4" 320 D tackle.
