I realize he doesn't go to our school anymore, but I figured some of you might want to know.

A plea bargain that would have pretty much rid Devonta Pollard of all his legal troubles was rejected by Jesse Pollard. Her reasoning?

"That agreement was for Devonta Pollard, not me. ... It wasn't anything that was going to help me."

I can't say how much I feel empathy for Devonta.

He was born into a house of crazy and it brought him down. It is such a human tragedy, and his mother is certifiably insane.

She sucks, but I don't think this really changes much for Devonta. He is going to get a slap on the wrist as long as he testifies for the government, which he is set to do.

Even more reason to take the deal. She knows she is going down either way, so make the plea bargain and save your son from having to go through all of that. He's going to have to testify against his own mother and help send her to prison for a long, long time.

Is there any chance he ever plays at Bama again?
To see a young man robbed of his opportunity makes me so angry.

Other than the fact his mother just shat on him and that he will have to testify against his mother, probably not much. But what is his mom expecting? For the jury to excuse her of kidnapping a little girl, because of a family feud? She's screwed no matter what. That plea bargain was only offered to help her son. It's an open and shut case.

No. He was going to transfer way before his mom decided to kidnap someone.

Good for Devonta.

Glad his mom is going to do some long time.
