And he's only a true freshman.

So far he has passed for over 2,000 yards and has run for nearly 800, all while scoring a total of 26 TDs. With at least four more games to go, he can easily eclipse the single season all-purpose record set by Blake Sims in 2014.

And he's done it all against the 6th toughest schedule in all of college football. Compare that to Lamar Jackson who has put up his numbers against the 6th easiest schedule.

Honestly, I thought he had more than 6 fumbles with 5 lost.

All in SEC games too except his first at USC.

ETA: Damn, same with his INTs too.

Not everyone follows Finebaum. There's nothing wrong with spreading some info.

I guess the edit was needed to maximize the dickishness of the post.

It's still makes for a good topic on as cupcake week.

While Jonathan Allen currently holds the Bad Motherfricker wallet, he needs to given to Jalen when he heads to the draft.

Impossible. The NeggaHurts on this board said he wasn't very good.

He's not without flaws. But he's so far above expectations, I can't complain about anything he's done wrong. And the potential is there. He finally started got his timing down, and hit receivers in stride. With our coaching staff, he'll continue to improve going through progressions and learn to throw guess receives open. He's mature and has the mental and physical ability. He's just hot to continue putting in the work. Then that Heisman talk will be justified.

True, but counting all his stats, I think every Bama fan is satisfied.

Is is just me, but when he runs, it looks like he's jogging? Almost like Vince Young used to look when he ran.

Its not you. It looks like he is casually strolling past defenders, leaving them in the dust. The VY reference is good. That's almost exactly what his running resembles.

Funny you say that, in the far camera view it's like he's strolling and replies like he's flying lol.

Bama has never had a QB like Hurts before (other than Sims) and we've never had an offense like this. That's the age of football we live in.

Sims broke records but I wouldn't say he was the best QB we've had. I still think McCarron is best QB in the Saban era.

Jalen is young and has a lot of room to improve upon because of it.

He has turned out to be a better runner than I thought he would after watching the first two or three games.

I think the Heisman talk comes from his ability to recover so quickly after a mistake like a fumble or INT. Many top QBs including last night with Jackson and Browning the other day start making mistakes and they fall apart but Hurts never gets rattled and that itself is amazing for a 18yo starting under Saban. Even we he scores he does not get over excited. The kid has ice in his veins. And I do understand the D helps to recover from those mistakes preventing many of them for costing us points.

I do not see him deserving the Heisman and think J Allen should get the invite first to represent our team but I will not be shocked at this point if Hurts gets an invite to the show that night in NY.
