Isn't there some rule about the Orange Bowl needing Auburn's permission to pick

us? (didn't all fit)

I posted it before, I'll go get it in a bit but right now I know if I can't find it I'll just get really pissed, need to get more woke up.

But it was something like "If the #1 team tries to pick a team from the #2 team's conference, the #2 team can deny that." Maybe it meant the conference or the Sugar Bowl, I don't know, but I'd rather play in the Sugar Bowl than the Orange Bowl.

No, Orange Bowl picks whoever they want after bowl tie ins are placed. In fact OB gets first row picks. Alabama is locked into SB if Auburn goes to BCSNCG.

I've always been under the impression that the Bowl that replaces the number 1 team didn't HAVE to pick a team from their conference. So in theory Orange could replace FSU with us, the Sugar Bowl wouldn't pick Clemson, and then with the first rotating pick get Clemson. But under the BCS picking rules or whatever, I saw something about the number 1 team's bowl can't replace them with a team from #2's conference.

Basically, I didn't want the Orange Bowl.

Auburn's permission? LOL no. The Sugar Bowl would have to ok the Orange picking us, which they won't. Alabama will be in the Sugar against Oklahoma.

This is what the rule meant. The way it was worded confused me.

Yep, basically the Sugar Bowl can tell the other BCS bowls to screw off, we are getting Bama.

Jesus, you're smart enough to be a Bama fan... people shouldn't have to do this for you.

Further, when two bowls lose host teams, the bowl losing the No. 1 team may not select a replacement team from the same conference as the No. 2 team, unless the bowl losing the No. 2 team consents.
