Is it as fun when you know you are going to win?

Maybe I am just looking for something to bitch about but wouldn't it be nice to go to Bryant Denny and watch a game we are capable of losing. It isn't our fault by no means but the rest of the league is really cramping our style. Maybe a few you understand what I am trying to put in words.

Do you want to go back to the Dubose, Fran and Shula years? That is the other option.

I understand about the drama and excitement of a close game, but it seems like we get the worst of it in those kind of games unless it's LSU.

Plus we had a bunch of close games pre saban, and in the end we didn't have the horses to finish.

You will get your close games our last 4 of the year. Aub, SECCG, CFP1 and the natty (hopefully )

Nope. I'd be happy if every game was like that game we just played against Vandy.

I hope we never lose another game and we win them all by at least 20

It's not as fun. The SEC sucking makes it less entertaining. It's not complaining about winning. I'd just be much more excited for this game if Ole Miss had beaten Cal comfortably.

Maybe that makes me a spoiled fan, but I think anyone who says facing a better opponent isn't more exciting is lying.

I do too. The buildup is what is less exciting when we face a bad team, and I think that impacts the atmosphere in BDS. The LSU game in 2015 was a lot more exciting than it was last season even though the 2016 game was closer.

The bigger problem is the other teams being boring and shitty. When we have lots of Top 20 teams who are legitimately solid it's fun. Doesn't matter if we win by 50, because that is fun. Beating teams that suck is not that much fun unless you hate them.

To me, the fun is in the winning.

No way. Give me a blowout every weekend. Let all the other teams play close entertaining games.

More.

Close games make me worry. I like to watch sports to help me NOT worry.

Watching Bama lay waste to some poor, hapless soul makes me all

The only downside I see is the fact that we don't get as much pub in the media. When most of the games are expected to be one sided, and Bama does what's predicted, we're very rarely the lead story. That's not a big deal, but its fun to see your game talked about more than the other games.

I had enough close games during the Stallings era to last me a lifetime

This question reminds me of the 2007 home game against La-Monroe...and the answer is no...especially when you lose said game...

This reminds me of when i coached Baseball and had a travel team on the side. I had a competing coach who decided to get out of Head Coaching and wanted to help me coach. He told me halfway thru the season.

I know what you mean. Nothing beats the feeling of 2008-2009 when we were on the rise but that doesn't mean this still isn't fun. There's sometimes relief when we win big games but the fun comes from knowing how special this whole experience is.

As Saban would put it, I take a lot of self-gratification knowing the most of the SEC wants to fire their current coach because they aren't living up to our standard.

No. It's fun to watch/go to games where either team can win, as long as Alabama isn't one of those teams. For me, yeah Bama/UGA 2012 SECCG was a good game. If it were two other teams it'd be a great game. But when Alabama is playing the best result for me is pure domination. I love shutouts, I get pissed when the backups give up field goals

Hell, I'm a little upset everytime our defense yields a first down

Enjoy it while we can, one day teams will be running through us like shite through a tin horn and we'll all be missing the days of Saban.

How exciting was it for you each time Bama got beat by Ole Miss? We have had plenty of competitive wins. (including the last OM game) Its not fun to sweat them all.
