Good write up on Trent.... LINK

What could have gone wrong. Relatives mooching off him. Getting lazy after leaving Bama.

quote:

A primary issue, Richardson said, was losing the structure he had thrived under at Alabama.

Considered one of the hardest workers on the team throughout his time with the Tide, Richardson struggled without that structure and admittedly didn't work as hard after reaching the NFL.

"It's very easy to get lazy in the NFL — not having everything scheduled and not having everything like at Alabama where it was so structured," Richardson said. "We had study hall or we had to get a workout in in between classes and had five classes a day. It was just so structured. In the NFL, everything's on your own."

There were also the family members and friends constantly asking for money to the point, Richardson said, that it became mentally exhausting and took away from his focus on football.

There were countless texts and calls each day. Richardson bought cars for people, somehow got stuck with paying for five funerals that were each at least $12,000 and treated people to unnecessary things like week-long trips to places like Disney World.

"And people still had the nerve to complain about the trip," Richardson said.

With Hall's help, Richardson has cut out many, if not all, of the family members and friends that so consistently asked for money and caused so much stress.

I really hope he gets it together this go round because if this doesn't work out then he will probably never get another shot.

Hope he gets it together, hopefully he's been doing what Lacy has been doing to get into playing shape. If he was 238 in February, he was a lot bigger before he got that tryout.

He wasn't the same guy coming out of Escambia in the NFL. There was so much drive just to get there, and when he made it, seemed like it was a "Now what?" moment.

Ro had all those toxic people around him, more so than Trent.

He turned it around himself, but Dallas just keeps re upping him on 1 year deals in case something happens again...

That's the problem that these guys have. They work so hard to get to the NFL. Saban tells them if they do everything he says they will have a chance to be rich and in the NFL. Then they achieve all that and become a champion. And then what? I'm rich, I'm famous, I'm a champion, and I've earned the respect of my peers. What am I supposed to do now? The easy answer is relax and enjoy all that shite you worked for.

shite I'd be Jamarcus Russell Jr if I made it to the NFL with a guaranteed big paycheck.

I can't say a damn thing about it or blame them.

They all should hire someone to be a life coach. Someone to handle all the bull shite for them. Tell them to get up, go workout. Dont buy your aunt another car.
