i like his command of the field and decision making. And his mobility brings another dimension that we havent experienced, so when a play breaks down, hes able to bail us out. Excited to see what Blake can do, and to see Jake progress in these kind of games

I have to feel like better teams will play up against Sims and abuse his arm. The coaches literally couldn't ask him to throw easier passes this game.

But he is leap and bounds better than Coker.

I'm hoping they do. Sims has shown he can throw the ball down field.

My only hang up with him so far is at times he stares down his receivers. He can't do that.

Sims is the guy for sure. Coker looked good, lot of the mistakes he made are similar to what Sims did last week. Next week both will probably play again, but this is Blake's team.

If Coker didn't get rattled and aimed better, he'd be an impressive quarterback. He has a helluva arm, and nice footwork (mostly.) It's a shame that aim is kind of important for a quarterback.

Coker played better as the game went on. It was nice to see some down field passing. Bama will have to be able to throw the deep ball to win the SEC.

Didn't hear Mr Ware mention this during his commentary today.

While Sims is the Guy right now, we'll see what happens when he faces 8-9 in the box. Bubble screens and outs will not work with this...

He hardly stared down his WRs in the first game which u was impressed with. He went through his reads very well. I think that he just knew that his desired WR would be open in this game, which was the case.

He had some good passes down the field today. Kind of sucks because FAU sucks so bad, but he did as good as he should have.

Blake played great today. Coker has a ways to go, to have any claim in this qb battle

blake is decent and bama can contend with him ...

coker showed flashes of what every college fan wants in their qb ... whether or not he can improve enough in a short window of opportunity remains to be seen ...

This. Some of those passes were beautiful. He has a higher ceiling than Sims, but Sims is very good at what he does. The question remains though: Will the two A-Day Sims make an appearance, or has he turned a new leaf? I am still in wait and see mode.

Exactly. If anything, this game solidified what we already knew.

Coker has insane upside and just needs reps to get better. He won't settle in and polish up without reps. He's also athletic at 6'5" 230.

Sims has chemistry and command of the offense, he's accurate in the short-semi-intermediate game, and his running ability is a different kind of weapon.

We've got two guys who can play.

He looks better than Coker, though Coker seemed to get better as the game went on.

What's the deal with some of the other QBs, like Bateman?

I think the playbook is thin with Blake but gets thicker with Coker, just a matter of time Coker will
take this team over.

very disappointed bateman didn't get a chance today ... we've missed the boat with him, imo ... he looked the best at A day ...

He'll get a few passes in garbage time this year I imagine.
