Or lack thereof...

Guy is a fumbling machine, has been the whole year. Surely the coaches have noticed and have tried working on it??

With as much as he runs he needs to fix this ASAP.

Absolutely. He isn't a rookie anymore. It's time to take care of the ball.

Most of y'all have been felating him all season. After game 11 is not the time to decide you have an issue with it. It literally has been happening since his first snap.

7 fumbles, it's a problem.

Fellow true freshman starter Shane Buechele has 5, but only lost 1. Hurts has lost 5 out of 7.

He's not a very good ball handler in general. He gets a lot of passes batted down, he fumbles a lot, and he's had the ball knocked out of his hands by RBs, and he's had it slip out of his hand while in throwing motion. We've seen it all.
What we haven't seen is a fricking downfield passing game.

Pretty nice pass in the endzone last night.

Oh boy, you've done it now! The Golden Child is flawless. The lynch mob will be here to deal with you as soon as they've figured out a way to blame all of Hurts turnovers on other Bama players or coaches.

But seriously, i think he has small hands. Makes it much easier for the ball to slip out.

I am just not that upset with his play. Yes would I prefer it to be better, yeah but he is a true freshman and for that I think he has played better than anyone should expect as a true freshman.

The one positive for Hurts is we have a chance to have at least a 3yr starter at QB finally. He is going through his growing pains and decisions are not the best but we are 11-0 with a guarantee of playing in the SECCG and almost a lock to be in the CFB playoffs.

The first one was a duck and the second one Dieter was open forever and Hurts almost led him out of the end-zone.

They'll have to address some of it in the offseason. Gonna have to drill it into him to keep that ball closer to his body when scrambling. As mad as I get sometimes I too am very excited to see what he will become in 3 years.

This..!

I also think Jalen would be doing much better if Kiffin would allow the run to set up the pass naturally.
Because regardless of how much we all want jalen to progress faster Passing the rock.
Kiffin still does Kiffin by going pass happy regardless of how weak the opponent is stopping the run.
The need or perception were gonna need him to turn the corner quicker is a bit miss leading as well.

When you look at it for what it's worth.
Jalen has and may just continue to lead us to a title with more legs and less passing.

OSU has done it and is doing it with a 5th year experience QB.
Everybody in the world, knew Kiffin was gonna turn the last possession inside the 5 into a passing TD no matter what.
When he could have easily punched it in via the run.

last night you could tell they knew we wanted a passing scrimmage, because they zoned jalen a lot.
made him tuck it evermore. So kiffin should have realized that and let our running game take over.
He risked jalen more in a meaningless game by forcing the passing game.
That's something Kiffin will never change. He will always get caught up in watching his work more than all aspects of the game.

Yeah.....the fumbling is a serious problem.

Hopefully they go "The Program" on him and make him carry it around campus all week.

I don't usually complain about play calls because I don't know what they are trying to do later but last night in the first half Hurts was getting killed how about handing the ball off to a RB

where was Jacobs? he didn't play until late.

I did not think we would be undefeated starting a true freshman.

I can live with growing pains, though. But ball security should be something relatively easy to fix.
