How many games would we have won this year without Cooper?

I feel like 90% of our offense is just Cooper dominating the opposing defense to the point where just about anyone could get him the ball. If we didn't have him this offense would be really putrid. I don't understand how you can recruit as well as Alabama does and still play offense like this.

Well then your feelings are lying to you. Albiet Cooper is having a great year, Blake Sims is just as much responsible for Alabama's success as Cooper is. In case you didn't notice, it is the QB who throws the ball to the receiver. The final drive vs LSU in regulation and the game clinching drive vs Miss State, yeah that was #6. TJ Yeldon dominated Texas A&M, the defense won the Arkansas game. It has been a team effort. Cooper has just been a very important part. Much like Ingram was in 2009, Trent was in 2011, and Eddie was in 2012. Every great team has THAT guy.

Ask the same question about every team in the top 25 if you removed their best offensive player. Dumb thread is dumb.

Anyway, you didn't answer the question.

If you replaced Amari with a replacement-level SEC receiver how many wins would we have?

If you replaced Simms with a replacement-level QB I don't think there would be that big a drop off.

No, regurgitating stupid internet memes like "dumb x is dumb" is dumb.

Cooper is the entire offense and he's masking a lot deficiencies at other positions. If you replaced a lot of team's best player with a replacement-level player the drop off would be there, but it wouldn't be as big as if you replaced Cooper.

But please, enlighten me with your animated gifs or other reddit detritus.

He's the best WR in the country it would be dumb to not throw him the ball a lot. We did the same shite when Julio was here.

It isn't our entire offense though. Take the game tying drive and OT TD drive against LSU as an example. On that final drive against LSU we completed passes to DeAndrew White, OJ Howard, and Christian Jones. DeAndrew had the game winning TD catch in OT.

Look are Marqise Lee and Robert Wood's numbers at USC when Kiffin was the HC and play caller. He is great at feeding his best options. There is nothing wrong with feeding arguably the best WR in Bama history.

These last 2 wins over LSU and Miss State, CRUCIAL games, Alabama won because of Blake Sims.

So Alabama's best skill player is a WR. Ok? You obviously ignored my original post and what RTR said. Every great team has THAT player.

I hate threads like this. The offense would be completely different if Cooper wasn't on the team. You scheme with your best players in mind. Who knows what the offense would look like without Cooper.

i feel like wee have several wr's that could put up similar numbers o coop. but how would we know when 2/3 of of all passes go to just one guy? if coop went down sims would be forced to utilize the other guys and you just never know how they may explode. now obviously i do not want coop getting hurt by no means but, i would love to see the ball spread around more. just makes the offense more difficult to defend.
