Hardly anything at Alabama is ever underrated, but it feels like our offensive line has been labeled as meh based on the last few years. All the advanced stats and my eyes say that this is a very good line, both in run block and pass block.

Best all around line we have had since 2012 and will only get better.

Hurts has been pressured an average of 4.5 plays per game. The OL has also cut down on penalties. So yeah they're a pretty solid group.

I think the low run stats in a few games created a false impression that Bama could not run when the fact is they knew they could run but wanted to work on Hurts weaknesses.

Seems things clicked when Shank came back on the field. Cotton is still a year away, I guess. He looked good at times, and really bad others. G is a tough position to learn.

Agree. Line is playing very good football and should be an elite unit by November.

They're on their way to making the offense impossible to defend. The hell do you do with Hurts and Ridley and Stewart and Howard when Harris and Jacobs are averaging 8.5 ypc?

Can't underestimate the value of adding Brent Key to the coaching staff.

Let them continue to be underestimated.

Thank God.

Alabama QB Jalen Hurts is 7-27 (25.9%) passing when pressured.

Don't know why I was shocked, but read Cam Robinson has 6 penalties already this season.

He's becoming a regular Alex Barron...

Agreed. This is some brilliance Kiffin has brought to the team.

Again, similar to what people were doing with the OL I think you are looking at nothing but numbers and in this case they do not tell the whole picture.

Many of those are throwaways. Hurts has been very careful with the ball thus far, which is amazing for a TF. Coker probably had a better percentage in that situation last year but at this point in the season he also had a shait ton of picks. Hurts has two with one the result of his arm being hit. Pick your poison. He can surely throw more in the field of play when under duress an inceprease that percentage, but the other team is going to catch a few of them too.

Also, Hurts has been in one game where the issue was in doubt for a significant length of time and he was magnificent using his feet to convert under duress. I would be curious to know how many of those "misses" came in the games where the plan was clearly designed to work on his throwing. I bet the answer would be a lot of them.

When we go to the power run game, Bozeman has been strong. I have watched him drive his man off the line of scrimmage.

The incredible thing is they are doing all of this with Cam being very up and down. We started running behind him against Arkansas and he seemed to respond very well, but all things considered he's still been a bid Jekyll and hyde.

Bozeman and Williams have been really, really good, and the other guys have been playing well the last few weeks.

Really have a chance to punish Tennessee this weekend with their linebacking situation. OL needs to take advantage.
