preseason thread.

We got a number of kids who can't play. Do we see any medical scholarships and any attrition. Somewhere I read the Love kid has been fighting something and not sure he has ever played a down. It may be hard to keep all the RB's since none are seniors or eligible to go pro. I am not counting Fowler as a RB. Natural attrition has to happen for us to sign 25 also. Any thoughts?

In theory Dee Hart could go pro, but....

yes but that is a snow balls chance in hail for anyone to take him at this point. I like the kid for all he has gone through and is still hanging in and working hard. He just does not have speed for the outside and not built for between the tackles.

Yeah he's lost most of his ability with the injuries, sadly.

Apparently Tyren Jones and Kamara may transfer.

Tyren has the most talent, imo, of the four Freshman.

Jones is also the smallest of the 4 right?

I believe so, which is why he is redshirting. Henry/Tenpenny were the two that were more ready physically. Jones and Kamara arguably have more ability, though.

one of those were probably expected to see more PT this year but the rise of Drake may have been a huge bonus to keep those two out of more plays

Definitely possible that Tyren and Kamara may transfer but hoping they both stick around.

Kamara- suffered a meniscus injury in camp and had to have surgery. He was back close to 100% within 4 weeks of the procedure but that ended his chance to contribute this year.

Tyren- is 5'9", 215 and probably has the highest BMI of all the RBs and is strong in the weightroom. Had some maturity issues during summer and camp related to class and being on-time for meetings. Too much talent at RB this year to slack in any area.

Both have impressed coaches while working on scout team.
