Henry vs Fournette -- The stats don't lie

Miles was more concerned with padding Fournette's stats earlier in the season against lesser teams instead of getting his QB the obviously much needed experience. Also shows Fournette's continuous disappearing act when it comes to big game that actually matter.

The Stats do lie.
While I love DH, let's not forget who is opening these holes. If I am drafting a running back, I would take Fournette. Henry is a great back but these numbers don't tell the whole story.

Derrick Henry has been named SEC Offensive Player of the week for the 4th time this year.

This 100%.
Both backs are great, no need to try and "win" the comparison. Tide already won the game.

This times infinity and beyond.

Are you kidding me? Our Oline has been shite for a great portion of this season. Henry has made many of his yards on vision and strength. Lets not act like he has been running through giant holes all season long, because he definitely has not.

Its so freaking funny to read this kind of stuff. For most of the 2015 season, the perception was the LSU's Oline was dominant, and Alabama's Oline was shitty.
Now, all of a sudden, Henry is getting his yards because of our incredible Oline, and Fournette can't get yards because of his bad Oline.
No doubt, these last two games, LSU's Oline has played tougher competition and has suffered as a result, but lets not act like our Oline is even close to a line like 2012's level.

Some people tend to forget that Henry, like Fournette, was a 5 star, highly recruited, running back out of high school.
But Henry broke a 51 year old high school rushing record that was previously thought to be unbreakable.

Henry was a 5-Star, highly recruited athlete for sure, but alot of recruiting experts said he was too lanky to be an effective SEC RB. They were saying he would be more effective on defense as an OLB or DE.
UGA and Alabama were 2 schools that were adamant about bringing him in as a true Tailback throughout the process. I don't even think we were 100% sure on him though as we (uncharacteristically) brought in 3 other top-level tailbacks with him.
EDIT: Also add Tennessee to the list along with Alabama & UGA.

That might be a clue as to why those GM applications you submitted haven't received a call back yet.

I don't think his analysis is that far off. I think Henry is easier to bring down than LF7. Their top-end speed is comparable, but I think Henry is better at waiting for blocks to develop than LF7.
That being said, some of the tackles that LF7 breaks are ones that would absolutely bring down Henry. So, it is all a matter of opinion on which back you'd rather have.

I can agree with this. I love Henry, but if I were drafting a back I'd definitely take LF. I really hope Henry becomes a good NFL back because that'd be great for him, but as of now I have some trouble seeing it. But for a college back? He's elite.

Henry reminds me of Darren McFadden in that respect. Great straight-line runner with incredible speed. I don't think that will translate to the NFL.

Henry has great vision and cutting ability, it just doesn't look like it because he is a so big and tall.

Interesting stats. In fairness to LF, Henry doesn't have to face Bama's d-line. Wonder how the stats would compare for common opponents, eg LF vs MSU defense against Henry vs MSU defense.

eta: my pictures got deleted.
Fournette had a better game against Arkansas, and Henry had a better game against MSU. LSU still has to play two of the opponents that we have already played, and we have to play Auburn.

I like them both LF and Henry, I hope the Dallas Cowboys draft Henry, the should have grabbed Eddie Lacy.
