From the 'cruitin thread, Pruitt told Wilson he's coaching LB's Who is doing DB?

I suddenly feel less comfortable about losing Mel Tucker is Pruitt isn't coaching DBs. I need to see the hire.

Need to go after the Broncos DB coach lol they looked great against Brady last night. Pay him WHATEVER it takes

Kirby Smart is going to do it.

If it is a current staffer, what's the reasoning behind not promoting him now? The spot is open and he could hit the road to help recruiting.

I did hear something about the "missing" coach allowing for Saban to fill in and do more recruiting than otherwise usually allowed. I'm not sure if that is right or not, or how that "rule" applies.

Aside from that possibility or getting a coach who won't leave until signing day and is awesome enough to wait for or a pro coach who was on the final 4 NFL teams, we are recruiting with one arm tied behind our backs. Everyone else can cover 15% more ground and talk on the phone 15% more.

Also, how can top DB targets like Carter and Knott feel good about coaching for the mysterious Coach X?
