As the offensive coordinator at FAU. Mark his name off as a potential OC here (never thought there was much of a chance anyway, but some reports had listed him as a potential candidate).

I'm guessing as OC. Hate to lose his ties to the DMV. But can't keep him as an analyst forever.

I wasn't excited about him as OC. But I'm not really concerned you know Saban is ready. My only concern about coaching is keeping Lupoi and Sarkisian if possible to keep a pretty elite class together. As far as Saban hiring the right OC, I have no concerns about that at all.

Those two together, with no supervision, are going to be fun to watch.

Yeah, my initial thought was, that's a good get for recruiting purposes. Let's be honest. Kiffin is going to need someone not afraid to get his hands dirty, especially with Butch Davis moving in right down the road.

Then I thought about all the off-field shenanigans. Damn.

Interesting, I wonder if that means a higher chance Sark is Bama's next OC.

I cant imagine Sark would follow Kiffin to FAU just to be QB coach or something

I think it will come down to Sark. Rumblings on radio about the ex Oregon HC but I think that's here say.

Didnt want him to be OC, and his impact in recruiting would always be stifled as an analyst.

Not sure if it impacts it too much. Out of the three guys being mentioned as internal candidates - Sark, Locksley, Napier - it seemed to me that Locksley was the least-likely of those three to get the job. If it's an in-house hire, I think it is Sark.

Lane Kiffin, Chris Kiffin, and Locksley.

If FAU gets the death penalty in a few years, will anyone notice?

Feldman says not so fast:

In all seriousness, it wouldn't surprise me if he got a show-cause for his part in the Ole Miss mess.

If he gets one then Freeze will too. Doubt either do, unless this second leg of investigation leads to more Level 1s

al.com: Another member of Alabama's staff expected to join Lane Kiffin at FAU
al.com reporting he'll be the OC at FAU and Wilson Love will be their S&C coach. Kiffin's brother will be their DC.

IIRC, Kiffin is the guy that was arranging stuff for the families of recruits. He has the most level 1s of anyone on Freeze's current staff. I think the odds are quite high that he will end up with a show cause.

I didn't realize he was on staff. I guess there was a reason he never transferred. A good example of if you do everything you're supposed to, there's always a spot on the team. The guys getting "processed" are the ones doing dumb things it trying to half arse it.

It made me wonder who else I recognize that has a job. I was a little surprised:

William Vlachos
Football Analyst

Charlie Weis Jr.

quote:

Wilson Love

And this can't be who I think it is, can it?
