Saban is making a visit to my work today and I am fortunate enough to be apart of the group showing him around. I was surprised when I heard he'd be coming because I understand he is an incredibly busy individual. Not really able to give much details until after the visit but as far as I know there won't be any players in attendance. It will likely just be him and Terry and they're getting a police escort from the airport. That's pretty much all I can get away with saying at this moment.

The visit is philanthropic in nature but I wonder if he's going to mix in recruiting somehow seeing as this is a big region for high school football.

Will post pictures and update after the visit. I've never met him so I'm really looking forward to it.

Whatever you do, DO NOT look at him directly in the eyes.

CNS doesn't take a piss in public without thinking about recruiting.

You must work at the Shepherd Spinal Center in Atlanta. I saw on the news that he and Teri were there today. After that they went to the Stones concert.

I do indeed. I'll post some about it later and some photos.

Both were so nice. Shaking his hand can seem intimidating but as soon as you talk to him it's pretty much like anyone else.

So the whole experience couldn't have been better. CNS and his entourage arrived around 7:30, met with the big wigs and made their way to our inpatient unit where they met with a few patients who had been informed a "special guest" would be coming.

I generally just hung back and took a few pictures, and watched his and Terry's interaction with everyone. CNS spent a good bit of time with each patient (5 minutes or so) actually letting them talk about themselves and what they've been through, where they're from, etc...only once did he go on a bit of an anti-playoff rant (basically same stuff he said in the media but with a little more elaboration on his logic...I digress)

After a little while, our CEO introduced me. I was expecting hopefully a handshake and a photo-op (and I would've been beyond happy with just that), but CNS engaged in a legitimate conversation. I've thought before of plenty of questions to ask the guy if I ever had the chance, but the opportunity to just talk about what I do and him and Terry both expressing their gratitude was just about the best thing I've experienced here (and I've had plenty of rewarding ventures at Shepherd). Even if the interaction was "phony" (and I don't think it was no matter what anyone says lol), what he had to say really made me feel great about my work.

Terry talked a little bit about the Stones show and she said how big of a fan CNS is and how much he was looking forward to it.

Here's a few pictures of the visit

Thanks for sharing, but that's got to be annoying to Saban to have phones in up in your business no matter where you go.
