Yeah, I hope they do it again. It worked pretty well. If there is any validity to the rumors of the play-cards then Kiffin being on the sideline is a given.

JK Scott interview.

Best part is at the end:

One of the media guys says "you're a better punter"

I don't know shite about throwing motion but is it normal for his arm to curl behind his head so much before he comes forward?

If you watch some of the Bama games from the early 2000s, Jake Coker and Tyler Watts are the exact same QB. Big guys with big windups. Honestly, Jake Coker would have flourished more in Franchione's option offense than possibly Kiffin's.

Tyler Watts wasn't that bad of a QB. Also...Coker's arm is much more powerful than Watts's ever was.

practice report I read from either BOL or Tidesports gave all the DB's that they saw. Brown is no in the mix which tells me his shoulder injury could keep him out of the opening game. They were in Nickle or Dime during the viewing period and Hump was the other corner.

I believe TB was with the 2s though, so he was practicing at least.

We've got talent for days in the secondary. I still maintain Marlon is my favorite CB prospect to come out in a while.

I think Minkah will most certainly play no matter what. CB in base, Star in Nickel/Dime. I could see that.

comparing him to tyler watts really gives me concern. not sure bama ever had a worse qb at crunch time than watts.

i'm on record stating if its cose between coker n a younger guy, play the younger guy. i'm so tired of this qb bs every year. i remember what happened when we stuck with a guy for more than a year.

but if coker is clear cut above the rest, then play coker, arm motion b damd

Coker and Watts are near polar opposites.

IMO, the only comparison is in their throwing motion and the way they wind up to throw the ball. I don't know that there is any other similarity between the two, aside from number choice.

oh, thanks y'all. that eases it up a bit. every time i hear folks carry on bout throwing motions, i'm reminded of bernie kosar and jeff george, i know who i'd pick to win for me.

Coker is a big dude. He doesn't have a Marino release, but he doesn't have a Tebow release either. Kiffin will play to his strength. Which means a lot of handoffs. Hell, I don't know. I think any of them could be Jay Barker '92.

Well, 1992 Jay Barker QB play probably doesn't get us very far this year.

Amen. Barker developed into a pretty good QB but, in '92, he was never really more than serviceable...even then, in the championship game against Miami, he was something like 4 for 18 with 2 INTs and less than 30 yards...and we still won by 3 TDs. The OL that year were road graders and we pounded Miami on the ground...plus that '92 defense was something special...if the defense this year can measure up to our '92 D, it should take a load off of our QB anxieties...

A poster on SEC Rant said Cornwell won't play in the upcoming scrimmage but didn't provide a source or reason. Is this just a rumor or is there something to it?
