Not sure if some of you guys have been following him. He works out with a group a good friend is partners with, so I seem to get a lot of updates. He is undefeated currently(7-0) and doing well. He has a good shot due to his marketability

(Tue, April 25, 2017)– Before undefeated 7-0 middleweight Eryk Anders tries out for The Ultimate Fighter in May, the former University of Alabama Crimson Tide defensive standout sat down with FightBookMMA.

Do you watch The Ultimate Fighter? If you don’t make it, will you watch it on television?

Yeah, sure. I think I’m up-and-coming but by the time the show’s over, if I don’t make the show or the house, by the time of the finale I’ll probably be in the UFC without it and waiting to face some of those guys when they get on.

Have you thought about trying out for the show before?

Not really. It’s really about cutting weight and learning to manage that cut, and I knew there was no way I’d be able to do that that many times over the season. I think I’ve got it down now to where it would be possible to do so.

Why are you the perfect fit for TUF?

I already have a moderately-sized fanbase, I feel I’m pretty popular, and it may bring more popularity to the UFC from the southeastern United States and grow the sport, down here.

If you were to make it on the show, how do you see yourself faring?

Any competition I enter, I see myself winning the whole thing. So if I make it on the show, I plan to win it.

Still remember that sack and forced fumble he had against Texas. It secured the win for the Tide.

An undersized Nose Guard from a low classification in Texas who was a late signee under Shula.

Yet still made an impact...

He is a hell of an athlete.....he looks like he is cut down significantly from his football days....has to be to compete in MMA.

Does he have a UFC contract?

I knew he went the UFC route, but I didn't realize he was doing that well.
Good for him.

I hope he does well. I like to see former Bama players being successful.
