The domestic violence charges filed against former University of Alabama football player Jonathan Taylor were dropped after he agreed to a plea deal on Tuesday.

Taylor pleaded guilty to criminal mischief. As part of his plea agreement, he will have to pay court costs, restitution to the victim and take anger management courses.

Taylor will not serve any jail time.

I wonder if he will get back on the team. My bet is no but he will definitely get on somewhere now that he's not serving any jail time.

Hope Saban won't take the risk and take him back.

0% chance he comes back on the team. Pretty sure Saban has already said that. It'd look really bad on him especially since all the charges weren't dropped, he just took a plea deal.

Since the "abused" recanted her story it looks to me like he just took the quickest way to be done with it. How would they prove he did anything without her testimony?

ETA: I don't think we should allow him back on the team because it's clear he got lucky with the girl recanting her story. I'm just saying the prosecutor is lucky he took any deal at all.

He pled guilty to something at least.
To me, that's enough bad enough.
More than likely, the DA knows something went on, but the girl recants, so it's too difficult to fully prosecute.
So, you work out a deal with the accused.
If the accused really feels he did not do anything, he wouldn't plead to a lesser deal.

That's not always the case. Sometimes folks just can't afford to take something to trial.
