I remember one of the ESPN guys saying Alabama made the NIT and then fired their coach. He kinda laughed at us and was like "Okaaaay" like we were stupid. I wonder what that guy thinks today

Considering neither the NCAAT or the NIT fields have been chosen yet, it's hard to say how the season will finish up.
Also, as a fan base, we need to move past the "just happy to be here" phase. This is just the beginning.

Not sure why I was downvoted but the point of this thread was, the guy laughed at us for firing Grant bc he thought Grant was a good coach. Now we're playing great with Avery. I wonder what the ESPN guy is thinking after he laughed at us

Same type of people that laughed when we fired Shula. They were outraged.
Firing Grant was long over due. The Avery Johnson hire imho has been a home run hire.

Yep. I drove all the way to Atlanta to watch Bama lose to LSU in Trevor Releford's last game. Was a pathetic season and was hoping he would get fired but nope, he got an uneccesary extra season. I guess it all worked out tho bc if we had of fired him a year earlier then we probably would've ended up with Bruce
