I thought we'd see the TE involved in the passing game. Did Hurts throw to the TE once?

I saw three of them in the game last night - 84, 87, 82 all played a decent amount.

But were they involved in the passing game?

Yes, they were blocking and running routes on pass plays from what I could tell.

I was wondering where any crossing routes or drag routes were. FSU constantly brought a MLB that freed up the middle of the field. Seemed like all of their routes were seam or fades. Hardly anything inside.

Overreaction Sunday and Monday will be fun.

I can't tell if they're hiding Hurts, or Hurts is scared to throw to the middle.

After we wasted OJ Howard for 4 years, I hope we don't decide to use the TE now

Irv Smith was the target for the 2 point play, Calvin "intercepted" the ball

Both

TEs were open. The announcers commented on it a few times. Jalen didn't see them

He threw it at #82 in the end zone, but Ridley stepped in front of him and made the catch.

The way we run, TEs should be open for days on play action passes.

We had OJ Howard for years, probably the best TE we've ever had in our history, and struggled to get him involved in the game most of the time. Just seems to be something we can't do.

Its hard getting the ball to the TE. On most pass plays, their routes are the ones closest to traffic (LBs, etc), and thats not even considering the amount of times they are asked to pass block
