I hope he is ready. We desperately need another big compliment to go with Henry!

He's available, however I doubt he touches the ball more than a handful of times.

Turnovers are probably the most emphasized item in practice this week. Since Bo hasn't run a football in a game in years, I just don't see him playing much.

Frankly, I'd be shocked if he plays much at all this entire season.

Saban said that they want to find him a role to play in the Georgia game.

Four weeks of the 2015 season are in the books for Alabama, and that means a true freshman tailback is eligible to play.

Running back Bo Scarbrough, who was suspended the Crimson Tide's first four contests of its 2015 campaign, can suit up in a crimson helmet and white jersey this weekend when the team travels to Athens, Ga., to face the Georgia Bulldogs.

Scarbrough also sustained a knee injury in the spring season, but coach Nick Saban said he is good to go for Saturday.

"Bo is ready to play," Saban said. "He's been practicing, he's been cleared medically, his suspension is over and we'll work hard to try to create a role for him. It may take some time to get him back in the groove of things, but that's certainly the plan."

Scarbrough, who stands at 6-foot-2, 240 pounds, was the No. 2 athlete and player in the state of Alabama and the No. 16 overall prospect in the 2014 recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports Composite. He committed to UA in 2012.

And his teammates, including linebacker Reggie Ragland, are excited to see him make his UA debut against Georgia.

"Bo's physical and strong, and I'm happy to see him back out there," Ragland said. "He had a knee brace on, but you really couldn't tell by the way he was moving. I'm happy he's back, and he can open some things up for our offensive side, I hope."

I can definitely see him getting some meaningful carries on Saturday. If he does well when he gets in, he will get even more action.

If we played Cam Sims, then the coaches won't have any hesitation with Bo. By all accounts, Sims's injury was worse than Bo's.

Update on freshman RB Bo Scarbrough: “Bo is ready to play. He’s been practicing. He’s been cleared medically, his suspension is over and we’ll work hard to try to create a role for him. It may take some time to work him back in, but that’s the plan.”

More weapons are always better, and I'm thrilled he's healthy, but I agree that he probably won't play that much this week.

Which is a shame because we need to run the ball down their throats.

If/when he gets a few carries or tagets and has success, I would expect him to be utilized.

I love that we rotate backs throughout a series, but if someone starts to get some steam, there is no reason to make a sub. Ride the hot hand.

That would be a travesty

Run him and Henry till mid 3rd quarter when their defense is tired of the big backs. Georgia could be susceptible to between the tackles runs where we could abuse their lack of overal depth in the front 7

After softening that up and getting them used to digging in against getting hammered, bring in Drake with fresh legs to gash them with his burst.

Whatever we do, if the run works we need to keep using it and only switch to pass once in awhile ala playaction backsides to keep them honest.

You know...the kind of Bama football that won us a few championships

A handful of meaningful touches can make a big difference. I'm hoping to see him in a Fowler-type role catching a few passes out of the backfield.

It was nice seeing Nysewander make the most of his catch Saturday, but he's not going to make many of those plays against quality defenses. If Scarborough's anywhere close to as advertised, he can.
