Hardest hit of the year. Mack hits like Reuben.

Still not sure how we didn't get a targeting call on that one

Missed calls happen, wouldn't have changed the outcome either way

Little known sub-part of the targeting rule:

"If the recipient of the hit is not defenseless and said hit is deemed sufficiently awesome by the officials then no targeting shall be called."

Seems like his mouth would have been bleeding were it actually a tooth, unless it just broke a tooth.

Can you see the white stripe on the top of his helmet? There's your answer.

The white stripe hits the helmet first, this pic is not of the original contact point...obviously

No it didn't. The video has been posted umpteen times. Show us a screenshot where any part of the white stripe is obscured. We'll wait.

Face mask of Speedys helmet hits the white line before anything else. Don't go all LSU fan over this, it's unbecoming.

Uhhh, no it doesn't. But the LSU reference does have relevance. To think the white stripe is what makes first contact, one would have to be blind, stupid, or an LSU fan.

The face mask clearly hits the stripe first, you must be blind

I'm not getting into the "what part of the helmet hit where" debate - everyone is going to see that through their fan colored glasses.

But looking at your GIF, something solid and white comes flying out from the mouth area of Speedy. If it ain't a tooth, then part of his facemask or helmet broke off.

But it looks like a damn tooth.

My opinion we were lucky it was not
Called and you can be sure every UA fan would be up in arms if that was our player getting hit.

But as mentioned had not outcome on the game.

Didn't an Alabama player get squared up in the head with no call recently? Don't remember any of us making a big deal about it.

Absolutely. Jalen Hurts fumble versus Ole Miss. Targeting not called but we don't scream that refs intentionally fricked us.
