I said it would be one of the closer races. It was the 20th. Glad to be wrong. :orko:

Roll Tide. Henry is a great kid and well deserving of everything that he's getting. I'm proud as hell of him and what he represents to our program.

They'll be melting hard all night. The race card has already been brought out almost immediately. This should be interesting (mostly sad, tbh).

edit: admins are out in force whacking all these racist arse threads lol

I think a lot of that was ESPN trying to pump up ratings. Henry broke Herschel's record, played the toughest defenses, and carried this team - he deserved it.

Never did I ever think that when Saban was hired, he would get us our only Heisman, let alone, 2 Heisman winners. We are literally living in golden times guys, and it's fricking awesome.

I think everyone saying ESPN was hyping McCaffrey to make false drama was right.

Plus, the media probably knew McCaffrey wouldn't win so they were trying to give him props throughout the week.

All of this. He's been a heavy favorite for a while.

So proud of Derrick Henry. I'm really grateful for the fact that Alabama has had players grace the team with this kind of humility, to go on to win the Heisman. You gotta know Saban loves it, too. I can't imagine what he'd do if his players had Johnny Manziel egos, or Cam Newton/Jameis Winston scandals. Not to bash them, but it's hard to be an athlete of their caliber and stay humble and avoid scandal.
