And he's now our leading rusher to boot.

It's simply crazy how no one outside the conference is even talking about him!

He’s got the good, he’s basically a lock for a big run TD per game like ole king Henry.

Still blows my mind that we stop running the ball because he was in the game and Bo was injured.

He was out starter FFS

Now I know why my football career came to a premature end.

i like me some D. Harris and I was one of the skeptical ones after his freshmen year. But he has gotten lighter and faster and stronger.

Just curious what his YPC would be if you take away the 75 yards. I am too lazy to figure it out but it would still be good right?

Harris has proven a lot of us wrong. I watched him his freshman year beside the likes of King Henry and I thought “this kid will play some mop up duty for a year or two and transfer back home to Kentucky.” Boy, did I miss on him. This guy has gotten better every year, does his whole job better than all our other backs and is the unsung hero of the offense. I’ll eat a huge helping of crow on Damien Harris with pleasure. He’s the best back we have and he’s the quietest star we have. He reminds me of Walter Payton.

I sold him short going into last year but I saw a huge jump in his play during the season. I think he has gotten better with his vision and patience and the dude all the sudden hits a burst that is hilarious.

ETA agree entirely phil

Still a ridiculous 8.2 YPC.

8 carries for 50 yards. which is just over 6 YPC. Great numbers either way.

Has any heavily-used back ever averaged over 8.5YPC over the course of a season?

Yeah it's happened a number of times though usually at smaller schools.

Reggie Bush ran for 1740 yards while averaging 8.7 YPC.

This season, Stanford's Bryce Love leads the nation with 1387 yards while averaging a mind blowing 10.3 YPC. Not a RB but Arizona's QB has 643 yards with a 16.5 YPC.

Brice Love is really, really good. But he benefits from playing on a power running team in a pass based conference. Nobody defends them well. Not demeaning his accomplishments but he gets bonus yards in the PAC 12.

You would be ignorant to not acknowledge the benefits Harris gets as well. Bryce Love is the real deal.

A lot of people disposed of him in 2015, because people are impatient draculas.

It's a good rule of thumb to assume all RBs that get carries will turn out to be good.
