quote:

For Hunter Bush, former walk-on defensive back at the University of Alabama from 2009-13, that was the transition. Bush was a part of three national championship teams during his years at Alabama. It’s not glamorous, the life of a walk-on player, but Bush always sought to be a part of something bigger than himself. Those championship rings are forever mementos of that sacrifice.

Cool story about a former walkon at Bama reaching for he sky in the Army.

Funny thing about his making the 105 as a sophomore (he made the 120 as a Freshman) is that he made it at a position he'd rarely played every before in his life. He made a play on Julio one day in practice and caught everyone's attention that the kid could play.

He played in a few SEC games and some other mop up duty, but hey; he's STILL got those three rings.

This young man will ultra successful in life.

ETA: I taught the little squirt how to tackle and even put him on his first deer.

Most proud of this young man.

He's a great kid. Thanks TS. I'll pass it along. He passed up Med School to do the Army thing. That takes gorilla balls.

I was a grown arse man with a degree in Microbiology when I joined.
