With all of this hype that LSU fans are giving him, does anyone else feel like this is setting up for a Kyle Allen-like performance against our secondary?

I think the guy is ok, but just watching highlights of his from last week (LINK ), he threw a lot of balls that our secondary would have easily picked off.

I predict that he folds like a murphy bed when he faces the pressure from our defense. I am calling 2 first half picks.

Hi LSU lurkers, let me have your downvotes

I think he's good.

We'll see how good he is once he gets hit.

We'll get after him and how he reacts will decide how successful he will be. So far only a psycho (Kelly) was able to handle
It.

I think he's decent. I also think that he is untested on the road in a hostile environment. LSU fans like to point to his performance at Miss St, but I like to point out that he was not asked to do much against them. He threw for under 100 yards. His only other roadtrip was at Syracuse where he had a 50% completion percentage for 157 yards.

As we've seen before, sometimes QBs take on a different personality when they are in a hostile environment.

As for downvotes, the only ones you will get are from Corndogs who have access to this board. You can only downvote on boards where you have access to now.

The last time they pumped their QB against Bama, Mettenburger needed help getting to the sideline but it was a very close game. Should still be a close game, but our DB's are playing well.

Lsu basically runs dupree on all back corner fades..
When he in the slot he still runs post corners..

Very seldom does he runs any crossing routes..
There Oc runs him in the slot to the back corner flag.
15 and 83 will run crossing routes and post all day..

All this off of play action..*very seldom out of just shot gun..

they dont throw to the TE to much, as they lost the starter...they will go to FB in flat inside25-30yrd line..

I think how well he plays really boils down to how many YPC Fournette is getting. If we are stopping Fournette for only a couple yards and they are consistently in 3rd and 5 type situations, I think we can expose Harris. If they constantly have short yardage situations, he could potentially do damage on us.

I posted the objective version on the rant.

Now I will post Bama opinionated.

Personally, Harris is waiting in the pocket for a very, very long time on these throws. He's essentially waiting for the play to open on on the deep route every time. LSU's oline does great at protecting the ball, but Alabama's DLine is truly better than anything they've seen.

Harris will not have near the kind of time he has seen in the last three games.

Personally, yes a Kyle Allen type performance could be in hand.

This is spot on.

Besides UF, they haven't played a defense whose corners can man up...and they definitely haven't played a defense who can control their running game without crashing the safeties down.

If Coker can have a decent game with ~200 yds and no more than 1 turnover...and Kiffin can alleviate the negative plays, Bama can win this one 27-17 or so.

He doesnt look all that accurate but his WRs helped him out and made some plays. They also got the help from some home cooking refs with very questionable pass interference calls. They seem to throw it deep a lot to help hide his accuracy problems. I guess this works well when your RB is gathering so much attention. Hopefully our Dline and LBs hold up and our secondary is able to hold up enough to make a few plays.

Really this game is going to depend on our Oline. If our Oline comes in improved then Bama should win fairly easy. If they dont then its prob going to be anyones game.

Granted that game was played in pretty bad weather. But yes he didn't really look all that accurate. Made a couple nice throws but had a couple that looked way to risky. I think him and Coker are about even.

I think Coker is better. Harris just has a better blocking Oline and a very successful run game. That helps a ton.

Brandon Harris effectiveness will totally depend on Fournette's success. If we can slow down there running game on 1st and 2nd down and force 3rd and long, we will rattle him. I think it is important to realize that LSU has never put Harris in a road game situation this year that they expect him to deliver the he will have to next week. He hardly passed against Miss St. and Syracuse is not to our caliber of team or stadium and even then Fournette carried them. He really got rattled at Auburn last year and if we can get off to a fast start on Offense and put pressue on him to have to help win the game and not just contribute, I think he is in a lot of trouble!!! The overall health of our safeties Eddie Jackson/Ronnie Harrison (both injured against TN) will greatly determine how successful Brandon Harris is downfield. Already mentioned but can't stress enough, these guys combined with pressure from Bama's front 7 is a big key on passing downs. If Harris isn't too careful this could spell disaster for LSU.

Fournette will get his. We just have to make sure to keep everyone else in check.

I think if we can keep LF from running wild and don't let Dupree beat us on that corner route they love we'll be fine.
