Geno and Jabriel Washington. Saban seems to favor experience and knowing the play book over talent.

What ever happened to Mo Smith? Depth chart casualty?

Just looking in from the outside, I'd say the natural picks are Geno Smith at free safety and Hootie Jones at strong, with Washington in dime.

The corners to me look like Tony Brown and Eddie Jackson, unless Jackson has a confidence lapse... then Bobby Humphrey's kid might start some.

In any case I'd look for you guys to be much improved on the back half. Saban made a solid hire with Mel Tucker , and you certainly arent without talent.

Cyrus Jones will definitely start, he played well last year and is ready to take the next step, imo.

Cyrus/TB at Corner would be nice, Eddie at Star, and then Marlon is first CB up in Nickel if someone gets injured. Just what I'd like to see. I think Cyrus/TB/Jackson all need to be on the field, so putting EJ at Star does that.

Not crazy about Jabriel Washington. I'm sure he'll be solid, but I don't think he'll be a difference maker. I'd rather a young guy with difference maker potential get the experience, but that's just me, I don't get to make decisions like that. Saban does.

Looks like Geno might be gone after his latest incident. Im sure this changes the whole rotation dynamic. Who steps up now at safety for the Tide ?
