I'm hoping that when he gets older, that no one will even want to pet him. That would make things much easier for me.

My life has just gotten busier I guess with getting married in September and new job and all (plus a transfer about 4 months in to a lot busier branch) now we are trying to sell our house and move back over to where my parents and grandparents live, problem is that it's a lot hotter real estate area than I'm in now (and that is an understatement lol) and looking and liking houses over there sucks because most go up for sale and are sold in a few days or weeks.

I'm good though

A 4-star just bumped his announcement because we won't take his commitment before camp.

Coach Stallings was hospitalized again
quote:

On Monday, WBRC’s Rick Karle posted an interview with an update on the former Alabama coach, who suffered a mild stroke last Thursday. As reported by Karle, Stallings was taken Monday to an emergency room near the former coach’s home in Paris, Texas, after a spike in blood pressure. Karle reports that Stallings is “resting comfortably” and that Stallings will be kept in the hospital overnight. The former coach underwent a series of tests Monday.

Back to Emmit Gooden for a minute. We offered him while he was in high school in Tennessee back in 2016(that's why I had his info; 247 just pulled it over).

He originally signed with Mississippi State but didn't make the grades. He had this to say about the Alabama offer:

quote:

“Coach (Jeremy) Pruitt reached out to me and told me Coach Saban had been wanting to talk to me,” Gooden told BamaOnLine. “They told me to call around 3:15, so I called and spoke with him. I was impressed to hear from him, the man himself. Not many schools recruiting me have had the head coach offer. It was an honor and blessing to receive it from him. I was super excited. I just about dropped a tear on the phone, hearing his voice having him on the phone talking to me. I was happy.”

Here's some stuff from the Florida point of view:

quote:

The Florida Gators currently have six commitments in the 2018 class with just over eight months left in the recruiting cycle. While this class is still on the smaller side currently, there are several elite targets remaining on the board for the Gators. Considering Florida’s positional needs, chances of landing the prospect as well as the player’s skill set, GatorBait.net brings you the first edition of Florida's Ten Most Wanted in 2018.

10. CB Patrick Surtain Jr.

Florida has ground to make up on Florida State and LSU, but five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. is still a coveted prospect given his size and speed combination. Surtain Jr. visited earlier this offseason, and the Gators hope to get him on campus again this summer.

Our sites keep mentioning him even though Alabama is never listed by other sites when giving an update on him.

7. RB Asa Martin

Four-star running back Asa Martin has named Florida his leader in the past, but a recent offer from in-state Alabama might make this recruitment much more interesting. Auburn is also in the mix for the 5-foot-11, 195-pound ball carrier. The Gators are looking to add a second running back to the class, with Martin being their top choice.

6. WR Jacob Copeland

The one school that remains consistently at the top for four-star wide receiver Jacob Copeland is Florida. Currently, Alabama is likely the Gators’ biggest contender. However, Florida has done an excellent job making the 6-foot, 190-pound prospect a priority and it likely pays off in a commitment eventually.

5. DT Malcolm Lamar

Florida was the childhood favorite of defensive tackle Malcolm Lamar, and when the Gators offered last fall, they quickly moved to the top of the list for the four-star. Alabama is also in the hunt for the 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect, but the Gators are still believed to hold the edge.
