The Ole Miss fans on the SECRb are pretty confident Cam Akers will flip to them.

Tim Watts and Charles Power both think it's a pretty big deal that he didn't flip while on a visit there this past weekend.

MS have definitely left us jaded. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he flipped. I wouldn't even be mad, it happens so much now.

I still have some player profiles and highlights to add to the first page, most notably Jerry Jeudy's.

I still can't figure out how I missed him initially.

Redfish is very high on Henry Ruggs.

Jeudy/Ruggs/Nico Collins would be 3 terrific WRs for the 2017 haul. I'd imagine we sign at least 4. Probably more than that (depending on Robertson).

Also, I guess we're sitting in pretty good shape with Jeff Thomas from St. Louis still.

Alabama quarterback commit Jake Fromm, a 2017 four-star prospect from Warner Robins (Ga.) Houston County, made a jump from No. 130 to No. 105 in the 247Sports Composite rankings.

Still too low IMO.

The No. 5 defensive tackle in the 2017 class, Eric Crosby, recently released a top five list with North Carolina State, Tennessee, Alabama, Virginia Tech and Clemson, in no specific order.

Crosby is announcing on April 22nd.

No idea. I don't think it was 247 due to the article I'm about to post.

With the next update of 2017 247Sports player rankings on the horizon, here are my current thoughts on three of the most polarizing prospects in the country and then two guys I think are trending upwards.

Dylan Moses

The gap is closing between Moses and the field. We need to decide whether he's still the No. 1 player in the country. When a linebacker is ranked No. 1, it's a daily battle to hang onto that spot. In a really talented year, Moses is feeling the heat right now.

Najee Harris

We've never had a running back No. 1 at 247Sports. Harris is the best player in California. He's a physical specimen at running back. Is he good enough to be the top player in the country though? Some think he is but if Leonard Fournette wasn't the top player in 2014, I'm not convinced yet that Harris can take that spot in 2017.

How many DBs do we bring in with this class? How many are we losing in 2017?

I think were only losing Eddie Jackson and Maurice Smith. Tony Brown will be a Senior in 2017.

We lead for 5-star OT Wyatt Davis.

His father confirmed it after their visit to Tuscaloosa last weekend for Junior Day.

Some of you may recognize his father:

Yes. His dad is fricking Alvin Mack from The Program.

Speaking of Davis, we've gotten four CBs for him in the past week.

Our friend Demetric Warren has CB'd a few guys to Alabama in the past week that don't yet hold offers. I'll post their profiles and highlights over the next couple posts.
