The state of Alabama may easily have more than 100 FBS signees come February. Crazy depth in 2016.
48 committed

“Alabama, man, that program is something that I can buy into because I’m used to hard work both on and off the field,” Jones told the AJC.
Jones says he’s followed Alabama’s development of receivers closely, and acknowledges that they produce “polished” receivers, like former All-America Amari Cooper.

Maryland now has 4 WRs committed. I wonder if Diggs is only a DB to them, or if they were planning on letting him choose should he commit there. If so, that is a lot of WRs in one class.

Jawon Pass' mom: Playing Bama "would give UofL an opportunity to earn the respect they're due"
I didn't put two and two together before this tweet. It's likely that we face Jawon Pass as their starting QB when we play them. The question is, who will be our QB then? Cornwell? Barnett? Hurts? Our 2017 QB?

LSU's final 8 prediction from Jimmy Smith (I'll post the ones relevant to us) LINK

Devin White
Rumors have been rampant in regards to North Webster running back Devin White, but I am still gathering a lot of information that has me believing that LSU is very much in the thick of things, if not the outright leader for his services. Arkansas and Alabama are threats, but I ultimately see him in Baton Rouge.

Other ones include
2. Kristian Fulton
3. Shavar Manuel
4. Stephon Taylor
5. Michael Divinity
6. Ross Blacklock
7. Drake Davis
8. Trayvon Mullen (why did we quit pursuing him again?)
Another Jimmy prediction without Rashard Lawrence. Interdasting.

It's going to be hard to keep the four-star Starkville wide receiver, who has offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Alabama and others, in state to play college football.
He agrees with that.
"That is true, because I've been living in Starkville my whole life," Brown said. "I have seen everything, I have done everything. It's just hard. I'm ready for something new."

I imagine we are done with interior oline this cycle unless we can flip Campbell from LSU.

Tidbits from AJC weekly recruiting wrap-up:
LINK
quote:
The way Fils-Aime’s situation was handled does leave a bad taste in your mouth but, again, the staff has not been shy about two things: 1) they only plan to take one running back, and 2) they want that running back to be Elijah Holyfield.
quote:
It goes without saying that UGA has to be considered the front-runner for him. Nauta’s constant mention of playing close to home and being near family wasn’t just meant to be a soundbite. Even so, you want to be cautious in situations like his because recruiting is nothing if not unpredictable.
Case in point, there were similar reactions when Demetris Robertson de-committed from Alabama—everyone figured he was UGA’s to lose— yet, last I checked, he was certain of only two official visits: Stanford and Georgia Tech. So, there’s plenty to be said about making an assumption too quickly.
