Alabama OT Charles Baldwin, a 5-star signed out of junior college, has been dismissed from the team due to a violation of team rules.

Cecil Hurts twitter

I'm guessing he never bought in.

Because of this? Why? He wasn't factoring in at all during the spring.

He was behind jonah williams, lester cotton, matt womack, cam robinson, and probably brandon greene. Just need to get another good tackle this year, and stay away from ASA college tackles in the future

Was he going to be the replacement for Jackson at RT?

We're revamping our line and going with a leaner, more agile group of guys.

The last 2 JC guys haven't worked out. I hope Jamar King will last 2 seasons.

Dom Jackson started 14 games at RT last year. He worked out fine.

Somewhat generous definition of "fine."

He was a great run blocker.

I'd say Jarran Reed worked out pretty well.

The last two JC guys would be Jonathan Taylor and Charles Baldwin. Most of the JC guys have worked great.

Jonah Williams did well in the spring for a freshman. Maybe he'll be a 4 year starter there.

Not sure on Taylor, him and Dom Jackson were the weak links on a not that great OL. He didn't start the A-Day game. Kennedy might have taken his spot.
