First I'd like to apologize to a couple posters here who I snapped at and unnecessarily talked shite too. I do melt pretty good.

Now on to the game. I feel a million billion times better this morning. I was a petulant child last night who bitched and moaned when he didn't get his way. I am a spoiled fan. Sometimes the team we root for in sports has inexplicably bad games. Last night was that game. The opening kickoff and the fumble giving Ole Miss the ball inside our 20, should've been a sign of what was to come. Fact of the matter is a football team cannot turn the ball over five times, not force any turnovers, and win the game. The frustrating thing is that we could have won that game. We have the ball with three minutes and 30 seconds left down by six. At that moment we found out what kind of team we have this year. And it just isn't up to the national championship level that we've grown accustomed to. This team is still very good, I still see 10 wins with a loss to LSU and win over everyone else. We will make a semi respectable bowl game, where hopefully we show up and win.

I think it's frustrating that we can't find a capable quarterback. This team would probably win a natty with any of our previous 4. Our defense is good. Our secondary is much better than last year. Our right side of the offensive line looked like shite. Our special teams makes me crazy. It's just not our year. I don't see it. Our QB will hold us back. We can still be successful, but not to the level we want. There isn't a more important position in sports relative to team success than quarterback, and we simply don't have the guy.

As a side note, to anyone that left the game with ten minutes left. Don't come back. You are not wanted. I hope this loss thins the herd of stupid, shitty bandwagoners.

It's also becoming more and more apparent that Kiffin is just Pussmeier 2.0. He absolutely refuses to run the ball when it is apparent to all 100,000+ in the stands that the defense is gassed. Three minutes and TOs in the bank and we are throwing deep when we haven't hit one all year?

Kiffin is like 90% of offensive coordinators. They'd rather try to impress you (or audition for a HC position) with how brilliant they are then simply call plays that will win the game. Pussmeier cost us against A&M, almost cost us against UGa in the SECCG; and Kiffin's refusal to pound the Rock has cost us twice now vs Ole Miss.

I hear you and agree but Saban is standing right next to him on the sideline. If he wanted to change it, he could. I know he likes to delegate but at some point, this also falls on him.

We will beat LSU. Our linebackers can stone wall fournette (I hope they do that and light him up into next week)

Georgia and A&M will be tough games

Ole Miss had 16 first downs last night. We had 13 more than that. It was a perfect storm of mistakes. Bama dominated a lot of that game, unfortunately the short fields and turnovers negated it.

Paton, I agree, especially with the part about losing the bandwagon fans.
I actually was pretty calm last night. May have something to do with my lack of energy from pneumonia, but in any event I was calm. The final outcome of this game wasn't unexpected, the 5 turnovers were. At least in the end, we came back and made it look more respectable than it was.
Those true and sane Alabama fans are pretty much like us who predicted 2-3 losses. At least it doesn't appear that Arkie and Auburn are really going to be anything to worry about, as I would have thought, unless they get a whole lot better and we get a whole lot worse
We don't have a QB, and we certainly don't have a Julio or Coop. The special tems.... :
Did a virus go through the team last week? They were pretty lackluster. Something wasn't right.
In any event...roll tide! People need to calm down. We can't expect to win them all and that is part of the problem with team and fans alike.

I turned the tv off after the TD play where the linemen were halfway downfield, not because I'm a bandwagoner, but because I was getting so pissed off and angry that baby mamma was like, "Jason, you're face is red and you're shaking. Go do something else before you have a stroke."

Last night took years, not days, weeks, or months, but years off my life and I hate Jake Coker for it. Send his arse back to wherever the frick he came from because indian named towns that start with the letter T have no use for him.

Call me crazy; I think this is a better team than last year. They can make the playoffs. They have the schedule to do it. (it is one of the toughest; BUT that will help in the eyes of the media and I like our chances in the rest of our match ups (I think A&M will be a push))

I think that if we put a QB in there and let him build some consistency we will be just fine.

Defense has improved especially DBs. You can't fault Humphries for coming up on that run/pass option. You can't fault the DBs on the fluke play either.

I'll take our defense against LSU, UGA, AU, ARK, UT, MSU, Charleston Southern, ULM.

In this game; we had to pass at times to get back in this game. We were down by 20. Coker did that, I applaud him for that. He has had some boneheaded plays though.

We had very minimal luck last; we had the onside kick and that's about it.

Things I think are on Saban =

1.) QB situation should have already been decided.
2.) Mario Cristobal should be replaced.
3.) Bobby Williams should have been replaced 5 years ago.

1. I agree. I'm not sure why we started with Bateman when there was IMO never any indication he could stretch the field. I also have a hard time believing those guys aren't splitting reps at practice. That can't help matters.

2. I'm also coming to this conclusion. The talent is there, but they aren't progressing like they should. Weve seen a huge drop off when it comes to the line since 2012.

3. I've given up on this one.

People who have said "oh I wish Blake Sims was still QB". Let's be real, he was bailed out by Amari over and over and over. Let's not act like he was a world beater. Screens to Amari was a shite ton of Blake's yards.

Blake Sims also had some stupid arse throws. i.e. Sugar Bowl INT to Vonn Bell. It's just as bad as some deep throws from Coker.

Also, we had wayyy too many delay of game penalties which killed drives with Blake Sims.

Until I see Coker actually complete a long pass against a good secondary, Sims was way better.

The criticism of Mario is valid. But the comparison to 2012 isn't. That was perhaps one of the greatest OLines of all time. Maybe Mario is a year away from showing us he's worth it. I think he deserves one more year at least.

I think our OL play has been average at best since then. Our OL play the last three years pales in comparison to the OLs we had in 08, 09, 11, & 12.

That's how I feel. I am not going on a long tirade about how and why Alabama should have won. I genuinely believe if Coker starts and Alabama does not have the fumbles on kickoffs, they win. That simple. They put themselves in shitty situations all night. I still cannot believe that fluky touchdown pass. frick.

I'm well aware of how good the 2012 OL was. I was just saying that it has been lackluster compared to what we saw from 08-12.

Yeah....I am over my melt now......you just cannot go -5 in turnovers and expect to win....

I saw a lot that out of this team that I was impressed with....They fought back hard and were in position to win the game not one but twice......This is not like Auburn's situation where they are literally staring into the abyss...this can be a very good football team and we are top to bottom still the most talented team...

I am just dismayed that with the susposed talent we have at the QB position, one of the guys has not emerged and we are still trying to figure it out and are still trying to do so on the night of what was our likeliest toughest conference test. It's incredible if you think about it.
